One of my favourite things to find and enjoy is music that gives me chills and goosebumps. I was cruising TH-cam recently and discovered a Russian talent show contestant that did just that, with one of the best, most unique voices I've heard in many years. Her delivery was nothing short of magical and I searched out more and more and more, and...more chills.
I was stunned to find that the first performance I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 17 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English and Arabic.
The covers she performed on that show are very popular on TH-cam. Many TH-camrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "Helwa Ya Baladi" and others.

Katrina has this technical side of her. She's pretty sounding connected to most of her E5s and F5s and sometimes pushed to the border of being distorted. She's good at most of the genre and have good control on every register including Fry, mixed, head/falsetto, whistle and even on her flageolet. Thanks for reacting💝

at last somebody said the right thing about Katrina V's rendition over that of Disney's rendition of the same song.. this song is turned into pop by Katrina and that for me is a good thing. it is not meant for Disney type and her voice is not cut to that..totally agree with you. she's great and no point in comparing her to Aguilera's rendition.

Thank you for doing a technical breakdown of Katrina's Reflection cover. I definitely appreciate much more now than the first few times I listened to it. Another cover that might be worth featuring is her take on "Stand Up For Love" (Destiny's Child) th-cam.com/video/qZRJDjZlad4/w-d-xo.html which was so, for a lack of better term, eargasmic. She seem to have layered it with at least three of her own voices as back up which made for a completely moving listening experience. It was shot up close and offers a good chance to observe how she steps into every note, how much she presses on certain emotion and when she breaks off ending notes to take measured breaths to float into the next phrase. Her One Take Covers are very inspirational study work for aspiring singers

Finally, someone said it. While the rendition was vocally impressive, it doesn’t quite match with the song’s intent as a reflection.
You're right. You won't feel the connection to the story of the song. She's more of hitting notes. She may be a singer but not a performer. You see lots of hand gestures going too mechanical. Just an honest observation. I can watch her few minutes only. Anyway, she's newbie, hope she takes feedback positively. Music is a wholistic art not just sounding out high frequency of sounds.
