I mean, The tank doesnt have much elevation and depression. If you're using mauler rounds which takes a while to reload per shot. The railgun tank only is good when it goes Hull down and snipes and thats pretty much it as its a very situational tank When it comes to objectives plays, A Regular tank is still better. And in all honesty if you're flying a jet in this game i think theres something wrong cuz jets are so ridiculously horrible in the state that its in.

Only thing that could kill a jet before was another jet or a good sniper, jets just simply outrun aa missiles ,wildcat or lis missiles. I think this is completely balanced against jets, but heli are going to have problem.
@@colonelace2901 its a very specific niche of type of Armor, it does have weak points that can be very quickly exploited and overcome. The core problem is, DICE didn't think through the spawn system and people just got yeeted into oblivion. you spawn into a jet, heli or transport, you are motionless for just enough time for a TOR to splatter you across the map. if they go back to how BF2,3,4 and the likes work. you spawn out of sight. and guys, its a FUCKING RAILGUN, its going to have sheer firepower and range. but its offset by only 1 secondary gunner instead of 2 + a spotter.
After playing with this tank I’ve quickly figured out it’s not a close quarters tank. It’s a sniper by far. With any infantry around you’re a sitting duck. It’s slow turret speed keeps it from being a good up close fighter, but the firepower makes it worth playing. I respect it. It’s not easy to figure out how to properly play this tank but at the same time.. it’s fun lol
@@colonelace2901 THere's mechanics in this game that you can literally render that statement moot. You can stay in your base using this tank and no single infantry unit will be able to reach you. On standoff map, you can just stay in your base while your tank is elevated with the hillside rocks and you can just outright punish air units. The only one that's difficult to shoot down is nightbird

And thats a fact. If ur just going for air vehicles which they take a while to spawn btw, than they are only doing half the potential of the anti vehicle role they are meant to be doing. Air vehicles after so many ridiculous nerfs are just straight up dogshit nowadays that to me they're just so easily dealt with unless its some godtier pilot which is rare nowadays. At the end of the day, the tank is still very situational. Regular MBT's still have a better teamplay role. And all this....its just the fact.

It really isn't hard to predict air units movements. You can have a friend with wildcat and every air units are gone. It really is broken. Silk even posted a vid about this very thing on how it's a problem. They literally replace Wildcats as the actual anti air. I'll give you one thing though. You're right, it aint much of a threat. but you render the team without air units. Railtanks shouldn't have been added in the game in the first place. Also, if you have not had a single problem with railtanks that's not a fact. that's an opinion as experience is your bias. before the season 5 where APS was unlimited. Not a single explosive was able to reach it. I've gotten to T1 EMK with almost little to no challenge. One of the easiest things to get T1. Of course that's just my opinion.

It’s a great tank. It easily controls the vehicles on the map if used correctly giving infantry a better time when playing unlike when there is a heli hog somewhere who makes the server a living hell
Even on Orbital as well this kind of elevations around the maps like this should be looked at, Its similar to BFV's Aerodrome map where tanks usually love to sit at the sides on higher ground and just overlook flags.
I miss this map. Ever since the nordvik event, its never in map rotation. Lately all im getting is discarded, Canadian mountain one, and orbital (AOW). Its starting to annoy me.
The shells have no explosive payload, its essentially a sabot round. (A large needle) its only excellent when versing enemy vehicles and air vehicles if you can get the shot.
@colonel Ace did EA rework the Ammunition? i cant 1 shot the jets anymore...it always makes just 90% dmg... and im using the HHV-EMG Maul Ammo just like you! i can remember shooting down jets with 1 hit in the past, so wtf happend? didnt read any nerfs to the EMKV90 Tank or fucking buffs to broken ass jets!
Pressing down on the D Pad makes it go into siege mode, Charges the gun faster, but makes the tank move Slower. Pressing it again Switches to Mobility mode, Slower Charging Gun but tank moves faster.
The Only way to play Tank Warfare hearing all the Little Boyz and Grown men crying about the Tank destroying there toy planes with one hit in comment bellow mines is hilarious. Definitely gonna unlock this Upgrade an Nuke 🔘☢️🛑 some noobs Stellar work.
Pro tip, before you do that take out the APS first. If the tank has activated APS or a Gadget APS is nearby it'll knock out the C5 of your drone. Which is why APS is a very strong gadget as it hard kills almost any kind of explosives.
Yeah, absolutely crazy when you have a proper squad running the tank, engineers,APS,Extra Recoilless M5's incase you dont have enough mauler rounds for multiple close range vehicles. Crazy stuff

I play mostly as a helicopter pilot, I'm used to being hit by a tank shot, i know there are skilled tank players but if I spawn on a base and after three seconds of flight (still on our base) my helicopter is shot down from the enemy base Railtank (Hourglass - one of the biggest maps in BF2042) and from the killcam I see 2 Railtanks standing side by side, and right next to them is a Wildcat, then something is wrong with this tank - its not skill.

Anyway, don't judge me, I'm enjoying a broken game mechanic while it lasts 🙃

Absolutely insane that you can snipe an aircraft with this thing. Great with long range combat, but not so great close range

They reduced the 1 hit kill range for heli's and jets. The further the target is the less likely you will do 100 percent damage.
Still a good tank....just now you gotta get alot closer to targets
