@@bartycrotchjunior2575 Sridevi ruled the South Indian industry too. Jaya Prada was no match to her in the South industry as well. In fact there were many many other actresses in the South who were way better than Jaya Prada ji.
No clue which generation you are from. But in the 80's both of them were neck to neck competitors for the top slot until Jaya's career took a hit after her controversial marriage. Both were the top actresses in Telugu cinema as well, however, there Jaya had an image of an all alrounder and she had proven her acting prowess right from her early films where as Sridevi was known more for glamourous roles. Sridevi's image in Bollywood changed only after she associated with Yash Chopra and Shekhar Kapur. Sridevi has done really amazing work, no denying that! Reaching some place is as much a matter of luck as it is of talent. You never know what greater heights Jaya could have achieved had she not yielded to her heart and got married to Nahata.
