THANK you. I have a 1943 all devices great with no 43. Been told its wear? However I kept it! Now more research and get it to someone who knows. Thank you
I so appreciate you including whether the sales were auction or BIN. It can be so hard deciding which format to use (for tons of reasons), but I'll take every example data point I can get!
Found a 2019 d that has the entire front devices completely missing showing hardly any sign of devices other than the date, the face, and the word "rust" it's pretty awesome to see on a newer coin
I happen to think they are really cool looking and some a really quite unique and I believe that they were for the most part undervalued, especially compared to tiny die chips that for the most part look like damage to the coin from use. The best part is they are still affordable. Great video Blue.
With all the silver hunting in half dollar and ETC boxes going on, YES error coins are going to be searched for more and more nowadays....... That is a good thing because we all as collectors will be passing that info on to others ~!~! Plus Tard ~!~!
On those strike through both sides of a dime I have it looks like it was struck through a towel or some sort of fabric ,,but will it affect the rim, cause the outside of that same dime it's totally smooth all the way around and it's defanently thinner
Nice video and info Blue Ridge. I found a 1984 strike through Licoln "Prison cent" while coin roll hunting recently and this got me started looking for errors and varieties. Im glad that struck thru grease errors are finally getting their just due as a real legitimate error rather than something you just throw back.
Thanks for the info I found 2- 40% silver Kennedy half dollars with strikethrough Greece one Kennedy has no hair and there's no t in Liberty and the other it took out some of his hair
I have been following you for about a year now, and I’ve received quite an education! I may have coins that could be strike-through which I thought were just very poorly struck coins, if that makes any sense. I need to look at them again. Is there a way to be certain? BTW - you are doing a great service to the numismatic community!
I found a B.U. Eisenhower 1976 Bicentennial type 1 dollar that’s completely missing the “E” in the “E PLURIBUS UNUM”. The coin only has “PLURIBUS UNUM” and also has the peg leg “R” above Eisenhower’s head! The missing grail of 1976 type 1 Eisenhower Bicentennials?
