I wear eyeglasses, so when I ride I typically just slide my helmet on partially, then slip my glasses through to hook onto my ears, then pull everything down and adjust. Even on long rides I don't get too much fatigue since I have glasses with a thin frame
I'll have to give that a try. I also wear prescription glasses but every full face helmet I've tried is a pita to get my glasses in and comfortable. I typically ride with a modular because of this issue....

I'm a bit claustrophobic and below 40 miles an hour my visor is usually popped. That doesn't mean I want a pebble or an insect or larger hitting my eyeball. So yeah, polycarbonate glasses are a definitely layer of protection I want. My eyes were fine when I found out what bats taste like. Not bad at all. Moist, leathery, and a little smoky turns out. But my eyes were fine.
@@tuono2914 it was around 30 mph, my visor was open, and it basically hit me in the nose and mouth. As I was wearing glasses my eyes were fine, which is the point I'm making. I immediately turned my head and it disappeared and I hope I didn't kill it but it was pretty much a yucky oh hell no situation. The aftermath was a few mild scratches and it felt like I'd been slapped in the face with warm moist bacon flavored leather. I think I was pretty lucky.

I do that with skull candies. I recommended after undoing your D-ring pull down on the strap to create a little room big enough for your index finger. Then reach to where the earbud is and slide it right out. After you've removed your earbuds then take the helmet off.
I used to have a r nine-t scrambler and the only helmet that matched was the bell bullitt, it’s the only one, in my opinion to wear sunglasses with.. other helmets are great with their own sun visor
Worked at a go karting place for 3 years and helped a large variety of different people, head shapes and glasses types putting glasses on with their helmets, the way that most people found easiest was actually looking into your helmet with their glasses already on and going somewhat eyes first and rotating when the thick part of the frames go through. It helped them out as the helmets were cheap with no channels and their prescription glasses often have a softer material for the arms, that tends to keep sticking/catching on the side if they slid it through the visor instead

I wear glasses. I take them off, put my helmet on and my glasses back on. It's not a big deal. My helmet is an SMK Retro, they're as cheap and simple as they come but fit my head fantastic. Glasses and all.
I wear safety glasses under my visor because I can flip the visor up if I need to and still be protected. They also make safety glasses that are sunglasses which sometimes you need to actually see.
Coming from dirt bike helmets I like the visor open and below 80km I use polarised, safety glasses. And yes, I also feel claustrophobic with the visor down and I feel more in the environment with the visor up less isolated from what’s happening around me.
I've been riding while wearing glasses for going on 10 years. I do wear contacts to but most of the time when I ride especially when I'm racing i wear my glasses due to I can see better and a little bit of wind from riding will dry my eyes out fast and get blurry vision for a few seconds. It gets annoying trying to find a helment that will work with wearing glasses lol
You can make your own channels if your helmet lacks em. Pull that part of the cheekpad/liner, and then take an elastic band and put it where you want the channel. It should cinch down around the cushion and make a channel, then just pop it all back in.

Tbh i wear both glasses and sun glasses (not at the same time tho) and usally i do it for commuting since some days i just want to leave my shield open but its dark or bright so transition lenses help with that and keep my eyes protected
I have a clear shield in my helmet and I wear sunglasses. The vents don't flow as much air at lower speeds so I'll ride with my visor up til I giddy up in the twisties. My EIGHTS ™️ shades saved my right eye from a 3/4" stone damage. Nearly threw me off of my SUZUKI V STROM 1037. They're chipped but not cracked so $250 was well spent.

You need to try Flying Eyes Optics glasses! They have patented temples that are 1mm thin and flexible. You can slide them on under your helmet and not feel them at all.
I don't wear eyeglasses anymore but that's very comfortable to wear sunglasses in your helmet and another reason for that is when I pull up the visor and I'm riding getting cool air it won't dry out my eyes
I ride with Polaroids with flexible rubber temples. Very comfy and way better than the sun visors that come with most helmets. Only downside is having to stop to put them on or take them off.
Just got the new AGV K6 S and it's got channels for glasses. I think my oakley drop points fit better than the chunkier fuel cell frames. They are definitely more comfy in the face when everything is smashed into a helmet lol. It works for now till I can afford a tinted face shield. After forking out nearly 600 bucks I gotta say I'm a little disappointed they couldn't include a tinted face shield in the box..
Right now I have an open face helmet- got a good deal on it and it allows me to right now while I look around for a better one. Anyway, I want to be able to wear sunglasses so I can get a clear windshield. That way I can ride at night. I don't want to have to bother with a flip up tinted visor or anything; sunglasses would be fine for me.

My sunglasses fit perfectly in my HJC helmet. The channel is a brilliant piece of engineering imo. I wear glasses because I’m near sighted and can’t see shit when I take it off, so I just bought a modular helmet, just raise the chin, wear it, pull the chin down, lock it. Then you’re set

You can only ride with a sun visor or sunglasses where I am. Riding the whole day in the bright sun is really fatiguing. Most helmets with sun-visor are heavier. Visors get scratched easily, makes cleaning harder and blocks brow-vents. Sunglasses are the better choice, but cumbersome.
@Hot Mess different countries have different regulations. Apparently fully tinted or mirror visors are considered illegal here because you couldn't see at night or in tunnels, also they make you unrecognizable

Also, legally speaking, that is a workaround since tinted visors are just not homologated at all for road use and we are interpreting the law; so i think the cops could just fine you and shut the discussion. When you will get older like me you'll probably need glasses anyway 🤣
You really need a set of glasses that have thin arms to limit the amount of space taken up and pushing your ears into the padding. I’ve tried all sorts, but thick armed glasses are a genuine pain. I just grab the same set of servo sunnies when I see them to replace the pair that I’ve worn out.
Visor gets scrach easily and in the night not able to ride peacefully so need to up the visor and use the transparent glasses. How you ride in night, does coming cars light not going in eyes

In winter, cracking my lid will stop it from fogging (my stingy ass hasn't gotten better helmet yet) but my glasses still fog underneath
It also helps to use anti fog wipes! They help it from fogging it so fast and it’s easy to throw som in your riding bag or pocket

Thankfully my helmet lets me put my glasses on after I secure it.

thats why getting something like a cardo is useful. You don't have to deal with those issues

I only use my ray bands in my helmet when it’s super bright out anything towards sunset or little before and I’m rocking that clear visor
That's why I get system/modular helmet, save time putting glasses out and in each time wearing helmet. Most of them have built-in sunglasses too.

While here in the Philippines most helmets already has dual visors.. The other one is inside and retractable just like jet pilot tinted visor.

In Italy (where agv is based) tinted visors are not legal so you have to wear sunglasses

I tried on a bunch of helmets and not all of them are comfortable with my eyeglasses. But my Arai helmet has really great channels and doesn’t press on my glasses at all. Mine have thin frames though
