The Prosecution didn’t need Paul to testify against Shanda. They had more than enough evidence to charge BOTH of them with murder. Paul should be serving Life Without Parole….he doesn’t deserve to ever walk free again.
Textbook sociopaths like him scare me the most. He's completely devoid of emotion towards what they did. Where others would at least cry in self-pity or show shame when confronted, he can sit there and maintain with a straight face they were a loving, caring family.
Hearing about Timothy's head being misshapen by laying in crib as baby while skull is still forming is disturbing. Shanda appears to have damaged Paul and Timothy by not having much physical contact after birth. Detachment disorder causes severe problems in children and creates monsters
I feel sorry for him slightly as well as the victim. His mom normalized this insane atmosphere. Imagen the way to make your mom proud is torturing your brother. @@POCKBA he’s not. Not one, but two extremely high rated psychologists separately evaluated Paul before his sentencing hearing. Both of them concluded that he had normal intellectual ability and no signs of any neurodivergence. In fact, they both concluded that he no empathy for others, and showed many hallmark signs of psychopathy. 🤨 The judge talks about these findings at his sentencing hearing. I know that we want to make an excuse for Paul because it’s hard to understand how he could’ve helped Shanda do this, but before his stepsister even knew how Timothy had died, she told the police “I don’t know if Paul had anything to do with this or not, but he is the biggest bully I have ever known.” Absorb that. When he was a child and they children were removed by CPS because one of the brothers SA’d one of the sisters, the reports then also stated that Paul would bully his younger siblings if they didn’t “obey” him and that he showed a special aggression toward Timothy, trying to lock him in a closet. 🤨 This was years before Shanda came back into his life. Stop making excuses for Paul. He is not a secondary victim here. Not at all.
@@POCKBAhe WAS diagnosed with psychopathic traits. He enjoyed abusing Tim and other children he live with before he moved into his mothers. He told the dr .. it never occurred to him that his brother was hurting or in pain from the abuse he was inflicting. He is right on the verge of being a psychopath. Do not feel bad for him. People said he LOVED abusing his brother his whole life. That he was the biggest bully they ever saw. Also no learning disorders. No autism. No nothing. Just a sadist just like his mother. IMO.
Exactly, people are afraid to use the word psychopath when it fits. He also tortured animals as a younger kid. Classic behaviour of a psychopath. They have no empathy no remorse nothing. They love inflicting pain on animals and humans. Just like Paul and Shonda. He’s a psychopath 100%. No doubt at all here. Fits all of the criteria.

Im Autistic and caused many problems in school to the point of having to attend 8 schools in the 12 years of primary education with the few months of military school, before I got kicked out, being something I actually started enjoying with much better grades. Now at 54 I'm here feeling lucky AF to have the parents who adopted me still supporting me even after a 20 year self medicating experiment that usually led to the concrete motel. Prison was another place I flourished and used it to earn college credits, useless really, save money and most importantly never need to stick a needle in my arm to feel normal again. Thanks mom, thanks dad. You taught me to be a survivor without even understanding what my problems were as nobody really did. RIP mom. Unfortunately testing is very expensive and only because of my state covering a second round do I understand why chicks dig me. That was a joke.
She hated her son and didn’t want to look after him and his brother also hated him, was jealous of a little boy that needed his mother. Selfish and evil the pair of them I had 10yrs with my special sweet angel that needed 24/7 care before she passed. My 12yr old has special needs and it’s not easy but I could never be horrible to him let alone cruel 😢 She could have given him up if she didn’t care for him. Yet she wanted his money for his disabilities and his drugs to take herself. I’m not saying Shanda didn’t manipulate Paul because she did obvs his opinion of his father is what’s come from her mouth not his own!! Sorry but there’s no room in society for either of them!
Looking back, I feel so naive to the real world. As a kid in the 70's and 80's, I thought everyone had two good parents in the home who worked and loved their children and kept them safe like my parents did for me and my two brothers. Now, I see monsters like Anthony Todt, Ruby Franke and this POS lady and to some extent the boy in this video. I hope there is some prison justice to along with their sentences.
My word, what a terrible life this innocent little boy had. Plenty of people in his family could have shown him true love and compassion, but all failed. RIP Timothy 💐
How dare he keep saying “we always wanted the best for him” despite the fact they were starving him and punishing him with cold bath and putting him on chain! They are fucking vile!
I’m autistic. Diagnosed as an adult as my 4 kids all diagnosed. I could never ever hurt them. This whole case has been deeply traumatising. Neither should ever see the light of day again
Funny how he asked for specific food at the end. "Some kind of salty chips or something" seriously dude!?! If I was the cop I would've been like "I'm bringing you old bread and hot sauce." My jaw was on the floor this whole video. Wtf is wrong with these people!?!?
Omg! 🤮 I made the mistake of pressing in your timestamp and watching and I think I'm going to be sick 🤢 The detective sees him doing it too, poor guy having to sit across the table from such a demented deviate.

They left Timothy locked in closet and Gabriel was put in his room with a tablet for 4+ hours, with no adults home. Both of them could have been victims of house fires, home invasion etc. Is it even legal to leave 8yo unsupervised for hours?
The fact after looking at photos of his brother looking amicated & near death he has the nerve to ask for a snack told me everything I needed to know about this POS. I can't begin to imagine the pain & agony this child went through but knowing he died without ever being loved is unimaginable.
I sat here in disbelief listening to what this person was saying! It broke my heart knowing what this poor, poor child went through and l will be honest, l actually sat here crying my heart out. The more he tells about what they both did, the more disbelief l felt 😭 I sincerely hope that they both experience a fraction of what they did, every minute of the day, of every night. I sincerely hope that the people they are locked up know exactly what they did! What the he'll is wrong with people and this world!?
I could have never went along with one of my parents abusing my siblings but I would’ve never had to worry about that my parents were loving and supportive. RIP Timothy😢
This guy would make an excellent cop. He's got all the fundamentals. He just needed to learn to sleep through his work shifts and only work at one place so he could scam overtime.
This kid has no idea about his rights, lawyers , etc.etc. Cop should not be allowed to interogate mentally handicaped people whatever age. I bet anyone spending one hour talking to this kid would know his mental abilities.
Punishing him for ‘sneaking food’ is disgusting. If they’d only given the poor kid food he wouldn’t have had to go searching for it and even taking the dogs food. The brother said “we loved him _so_ much.” He’s as bad as his mother. Poor Timothy.
So much of what he says about their father sounds like canned speech. Meaning it sounds like the monster did a number trying to alienate him from the dad.
"My father is incapable of raising boys." Riiiight..... Paul doesn't know what a speech impediment is, but has done an in depth analysis of the gender differentiation in his fathers parenting. 🙄
Shanda was clearly either a malignant narcissist or a sociopath. Every single thing she did was in efforts of manipulating the people around her with no regard for anyone else. I have followed this case for awhile & I have little doubt that Paul was manipulated by his evil mother into participating in her sick torture, as well as hating his father. At the back of Pauls mind was the knowledge that if he did anything to piss off Shanda, he would wind up on the receiving end of the abuse. But Shanda would treat him like a partner, building his confidence as long as Paul would do what she says & agreed with her at all times. He was somewhat safe as long as he played into Shandas sick game. Paul doesnt seem that bright or neurotypical himself, so he was an easy person to manipulate. What he did was absolutely terrible & wrong, but I have far more ire towards shanda since I see her as the circus master of the situation. Paul would not have done any of this if he wasnt exposed to Shanda's evil manipulation. Paul always seems honest, & he is genuinely remorseful, where as Shanda's remorse is all an act. She is a vile woman.
Forcing a person to partake in ice baths and hot sauce is despicable. It’s also the type of thing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) advocates as first line treatment for Autistic individuals, and why ABA- like all conversion therapy- should be abolished.
@@Sweetsassyspice77 Thank you for your question. I’m not sure what you’re questioning. Are you questioning whether all conversion therapy is bad? As in, sometimes you believe it’s okay for a psychologist to- for example- tell a person who believes they are gay that with enough therapy, they can be “free” of that “disease?” Or are you questioning whether Applied Behavior Analysis, which treats autistic embodiment the same way, is okay?
This woman and her husband apparently weren't creating any physics majors. "He passed all his final exams so they would let him pass" Yeah, that's how that whole school thing works.
I thought he was on the spectrum when I first looked into this case but after the psychiatrist said he doesn’t meet diagnosis criteria and learning more about Shanda, I think Paul is really just a product of abuse. It can replicate autism symptoms and can also cause psychopathic/sociopathic tendencies to develop. Timothy was the scapegoat for the both of them to take out their fury on. Paul likely learned to appease Shanda first and always and found she was happiest when he was carrying out the abuse on Timothy. Don’t get me wrong, Paul is 100% guilty and he deserves to be in prison for a minimum 30 years imo but I think without Shanda in the picture, he never would’ve done all this shit. Ultimately he made his choices but man I doubt it felt like he ever had many of them. He had a job, he worked with food, he could’ve made an escape, brought Timothy food, made a plan. I don’t think he was in a mental state to believe that was possible after the lifetime of abuse under Shanda. I know it’s literally possible, but when you’re abused for that long, escape doesn’t always appear to be a reality, even when there’s an open door. Think Elisabeth Smart talking about how she’d be out and about in public while she was missing and never went to the police because she didn’t think escape was ever possible. The mind is a crazy thing.
And the camera, he continually was looking at it. Especially when he was making a point of how he cared etc, to make himself look good. He is also manipulative!
For anyone curious the mother, Vander Ark was also sentenced to 50 to 100 years in prison for first-degree child abuse, with credit for 575 days served. Was this mentioned in the video? I had to Google it.
Honestly when he said can I have something to snack on, made me think nope your brother didn’t but like you say he should give him bread & hot sauce! I can’t even fathom that they thought bread & rice was a decent meal for him? Like hello you get better in prison!
I strongly feel Paul is also on the spectrum. His mother was the one to manipulate him (maybe dad too but highly doubt it). That doesn’t mean he holds no blame, he knows right from wrong. He knows his brother was not in good health. But he also is very easily influenced, manipulated, encouraged etc. This entire thing is awful.
I wholeheartedly agree. There’s something wrong here and I get the sense that Paul is actually terrified; perhaps more terrified of his mom and what she might do to him if he says something that would upset her than terrified of the legal system. Which is probably valid, considering.
@@plantqueen7790 absolutely, he is terrified of his mothers wrath if he doesn’t do as she says. He wants to please her. In my opinion, sounds like he was severely alienated from his father & made to be “the man of the house”. All the while, I truly feel he’s on the spectrum which makes him a prime target for his deranged, narcissistic mother. She used that to her advantage to the highest degree. What he did was awful, wrong, and criminal. But I cannot help but feel for this young man. I hope he gets the help he desperately needs while serving his time, unfortunately prison doesn’t really have the greatest reputation for rehabilitation. That woman is a total demon.
I’d seen this interrogation previously, but did enjoy your take & comments. Such evil going on behind closed doors is very difficult to fathom. Heartbreaking

Oh he couldn't walk or stand, but before he got thin he faked that too. He also likes to veer off the subject of his brother and talk about how he went through "hell" with his father. Thats a form of deflection. Oh man im literally wanting to go to prison where she is just to punish her the way she deserves.
😢 Everytime I hear these story's the criminals COMPLAIN about "4hrs of sleep working two jobs" but then deprived sleep/food from the victim LIKE HELLLOOO WTF are you complaining about, you can't even understand how the victim felt, cuz your so self centered phyco 😢
This is insane. The way he trys to defend his mother and says his dad and stepdad are horrible people but not his mother. Just sickening. Shes obviously a master manipulator but this kid is old enough to know better.
Hes acting clueless, innocent and naive during this, even speaking slower and softer than his real voice. If you want the real Paul, listen to his jail calls...in reality he is arrogant, a bully, calculating and absolutely knows whats going on Also, Paul is now boasting that "he is the reason his mom was convicted". His testimony is what put her away. 🙄🙄🙄 Not that they were caught red handed, there was video and all sorts of evidence was strewn around the house.
This one is strange talking about "we didn't and we wanted etc is very wierd. Hes as culpable as his mother in this crime but I do wonder why hes so thin too. Its truly sickening what they did and hope they both got life without parole. Too many monsters behind closed doors sadly
I have a hard time with this one. Did Paul do some evil things ..yes, but at the request of his mother. He also has some mental deficiency and he probably thought the same would happen to him if he didn’t do what she said. You could see when he testified that the longer he was away from her he realized the full impact of what he participated in.
I kept thinking the same thing. "I wonder if the PD issued him that MSI gaming laptop or he wanted a gaming laptop himself for the speed/power or cause this detective plays games" Cause they don't have to use them for games, maybe they just want super fast reliable PCs, not a bad choice really [Even tho if I picked a work laptop for a similar job, I'd pick a ThinkPad T490. Great notebook, still got loud fans but not AS bad as that MSI that's roaring this entire video.]

The Prosecution didn’t need Paul to testify against Shanda. They had more than enough evidence to charge BOTH of them with murder. Paul should be serving Life Without Parole….he doesn’t deserve to ever walk free again.
100% agree
I believe he has sugar in his tea too, he will love jail.
If I'm not mistaken mother got life and he got 30 years minimum
She didn't teach him patience, instead they were both annoyed with brothers special needs and weren't prepared to raise such a child. Sad stuff
Dude 💯 unalives someone when he gets out, he's a monster and won't change
@@Qsefthuko4thankfully he probably will never get out. 30-100 years with the judge marking him a psychopath. Plus he’s gonna be female dog for a lot of inmates over those 30 years. He deserves an eternity of hell
What disturbs me is how he talked about his youngest brother being a blessing to the world after what he did to the middle boy... I feel so bad...
So jealous
That detective deserves a pay rise for listening to this bs
The amount of times he looks at the camera during the interrogation shows his fear of getting caught as the monster he is
What’s really unnerving is the amount of public support Paul has in his jail calls. Despite the evidence showing he was an active participant in Timothy’s abuse.

No shame,no empathy,no regret,no remorse.nothing..this is a true psychopath.
And definitely no tears.
Not a psychopat who is not a diagnosis anymore but he have some other mental health issues and is maby nervodigent as well.
I am a person who cant cry my self or show amotions very well especally not sad ones.
I lost a sibling but in another way and I hurt so much evryday while I see others who can show and get out feelings who looked more like a mess in the start.
I was a mess all the time after it happened but people cant see that.
This is shocking what happened especially when he had special needs they are just poor evil
Him playing the victim makes me sick and I’m glad they both locked up
He is such a lil twisted dude . I wonder how evil he could have become if not stopped? The way he looks at people when he talks , he watches their every reaction. It seems like he was abused by his Mom , he grew up with his Dad though.
He always plays the victim
For anyone who thinks this kid is innocent just clock how he rushed over to the detectives laptop to see his brothers emaciated pictures.
The Ghoul wants to see his handywork.
I noticed that too.
The relationship this psycho has with his mother is sketchy as fuck.
You're very lucky, some people have nobody at all for support.

I ❤ this comment. I'm thankful for your parents too! And you seem quite funny and awesome as well. Good job mom and dad!
She hated her son and didn’t want to look after him and his brother also hated him, was jealous of a little boy that needed his mother.
Selfish and evil the pair of them
I had 10yrs with my special sweet angel that needed 24/7 care before she passed.
Now i understand why he was charged as much as he was.
Me too this my first time seeing his interrogation vid
I cried when the detective said he's probably relieved that he's dead. Poor child.
Children have always had good and bad parents.
My word, what a terrible life this innocent little boy had. Plenty of people in his family could have shown him true love and compassion, but all failed. RIP Timothy 💐
Child torture is more common than we think, and its a cycle.
It’s an epidemic, especially amongst the lucifarians that have been controlling the world for eons..
He also looks starved
I thought the same. He's rail thin and looks very unhealthy.
Yes 😢
I get he’s probably a victim too but how can he not realize the horror of what hes saying? It’s utterly unbelievable.
That detective is badass. Easily one of the best I've seen on this channel so far.
Thats my husband …. In my head😂
Same here,as are my two sons,he just learnt how to malinger autism, the jail calls are very telling.
Funny how he asked for specific food at the end. "Some kind of salty chips or something" seriously dude!?! If I was the cop I would've been like "I'm bringing you old bread and hot sauce." My jaw was on the floor this whole video. Wtf is wrong with these people!?!?
Paul has very strange mannerisms. I would love to know what acquaintances thought of him. His relationship with Shanda is weird too.
He picks up a booger he dropped on the table. Looks at it. Rolls it around and puts it on his shirt. Disgusting. 1:02:12

No, it’s not. It’s illegal and abandonment
Who the hell sits like that in a friggin chair? Dude is a strange brew.

Yes!!! So many of the kids murdered by their parents "home school" them so they aren't caught.
Thanks for the video❤ I have been following this case from the beginning.
The fact after looking at photos of his brother looking amicated & near death he has the nerve to ask for a snack told me everything I needed to know about this POS. I can't begin to imagine the pain & agony this child went through but knowing he died without ever being loved is unimaginable.
This detective is very skilled.
I sat here in disbelief listening to what this person was saying! It broke my heart knowing what this poor, poor child went through and l will be honest, l actually sat here crying my heart out. The more he tells about what they both did, the more disbelief l felt 😭
I sincerely hope that they both experience a fraction of what they did, every minute of the day, of every night. I sincerely hope that the people they are locked up know exactly what they did!

Just when you think you’ve seen the worst. Smh another one ☝️
For anybody wondering, the mother (Shanda Vander Ark) got life without parole
Punishing him for ‘sneaking food’ is disgusting. If they’d only given the poor kid food he wouldn’t have had to go searching for it and even taking the dogs food. The brother said “we loved him _so_ much.” He’s as bad as his mother. Poor Timothy.
Poor child, so sad and that all took place in that one place that should be the safest place on earth, home together with the family.
Every answer he gives, there's a "but" after it...
A big butt 😂
So he's lying?
That detective is PISSED!
He can see right through Paul's innocent little bit act
So much of what he says about their father sounds like canned speech. Meaning it sounds like the monster did a number trying to alienate him from the dad.
Yes
"My father is incapable of raising boys."
Riiiight.....
RIP Timothy
Forcing a person to partake in ice baths and hot sauce is despicable. It’s also the type of thing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) advocates as first line treatment for Autistic individuals, and why ABA- like all conversion therapy- should be abolished.

He’s absolutely to blame as well but I think his mom totally brain washed him
Why do people keep saying this, he didn't grow up with his Mom, he's a sadist, he was bullying Timothy long before he came to the monster.

1:39:02 the detective should bring him a slice of bread with hot sauce on it.

Im sorry tgis is my second comment on this video, but this guy literally tried to come up with any and every excuse for everything that his brother was going through?!?! Oh we gave him the hot sauce as a form of punishment, but he didnt feel it because he had no feeling in his tongue?!?! Why even do it then?
I think it’s worse is he’s complaining about abuse at the hands of his father that he implemented to abuse his brother, but he was even more extreme
If you want the real Paul, listen to his jail calls...in reality he is arrogant, a bully, calculating and absolutely knows whats going on
Also, Paul is now boasting that "he is the reason his mom was convicted". His testimony is what put her away. 🙄🙄🙄 Not that they were caught red handed, there was video and all sorts of evidence was strewn around the house.
God! Poor kid! Nobody around this family suspected anything to do something? What a nasty world we live in! Unbelievable! May his soul rest in peace 😢

I have a hard time with this one. Did Paul do some evil things ..yes, but at the request of his mother. He also has some mental deficiency and he probably thought the same would happen to him if he didn’t do what she said. You could see when he testified that the longer he was away from her he realized the full impact of what he participated in.
That time when the detective pulls out a gaming laptop during the investigation. Those fans lol.
