I have been wondering for over ten years why windows never had this vibrant kind of test available. Immersion is a good selling point.
As far as I'm concerned, windows does have this kind of test when you plug in a physical 7.1 setup.
Because Dolby is greedy and locked it behind a big payment and forcing us to buy an expensive receiver,
Most PC these days have 6 sound outputs, that's 12 channels, we could easily use it as 7.1.4 which is 4 atmos speakers.
HELP! At 1:01 the little speaker doesnt produce any sound on my headphone, does it works for you?
@@IronMan-vh1yo that tiny one on the front left is mute to me too. Could be a mistake by the video uploader. I only got a stereo setup.
@@IronMan-vh1yo I think that's because the subwoofer produces such low frequency audio, that headphones aren't able to play it.

Just installed dml speakers made from exciter speakers and polystyrene sheets for surround back and was really worried about how they'd match with my tower fronts. My only problem now is source and how my receiver handles it. Everything sounded great.

I used my Razer Kraken X headphones for this. They have 7.1 surround and it sound awesome!

How to check if my headphone support 7.1?
@AlvaroAviationIND i searched a lot and find out that 5.1, 7.1 and surround sound for headphones are actually "fake". There's a software on pc that changes sounds to be heared as they would come from the specific direction around you (and this direction is the detection of the sound in the game, for example.), so only thing that headphones can support is a good frequency of sounds you need in your usage area. If you're gamer, you would prefer to have lower bass and higher high frequency, if you are audiofile, you would need balanced frequencies or balanded with higher bass.
@@Ren_Zekta Yes exactly and also "Virtual Surround" is better then those headphones who claim to be "Real Surround" with extra audio drivers in them. Atleast according to Linus Tech Tips

@@frankfarago2825 It's playing Stereo out of my 7.1. I don't distinctively hear the side or rear sounds coming out of my side or rear speakers.. sound is emanating mostly or all from the front and middle speakers.
@@TLNetworkGuru TH-cam takes the upload and then downmixes it to stereo.
@@jctoad HAHAHAHAA NOOOOO TH-cam keeps the 7.1 or 5.1 depends on the file.

I love how everyone says how they can hear the rear channels, when this only plays in stereo when on youtube XD
When the individual point testing was going on the bass or 7.(1) , the bass went so deep you could only feel it and not hear it.
So I'm guessing it's under 20hz or something like that.

Not every TH-cam apps support 5.1 outputs. Only newer TV models, Apple TV and gaming consoles support it.
Mine too. I checked my receiver and the HDMI from my laptop is only outputting stereo no matter what I do.

try this with Dolby Atmos for Headphones spatial audio for windows 10, it actually really good
headphones are only have two channels, so you just feel surround sound, not a dolby atmos. this is only work for home theater with dolby 7.1 amplifier and with dolby atmos file featured. since youtube dont have dolby atmos feature.
i have hyperx cloud flight s and i cant tell whether the 7.1 is on or off, so i tried a video and i still cant really tell.

Did you know that TH-cam doesn't work with sound 7.1? Any sound in it is played in stereo mode....
I think headsets don't have LFE then, right? because I've already tested it on several videos and I don't hear anything when the LFE plays

What is different between Dolby Atmos and Dolby audio
Sorry I think you have miss represented your video - unless I’m mistaken Dolby Atmos must have ceiling mounted channels- in a 5.1.2 minimal configuration- your video shows a more extensive but basic Dolby set up as 7.1

@MizuDev Your headphones aren't actually 7.1, that is completely software. So if you actually have a home theater system you can hear this is clearly in stereo, youtube does not support anything more than stereo.
I'm watching this on my laptop. I should be hearing only front left and right speakers, right? I hear all of them.
Unfortunately this no longer works, it's always stereo only. I don't know if TH-cam Premium subscribers get all channels, maybe they do.
