SWEET! I wish I had this version. Colored shellac are my absolute favorite records, especially Perfect! They usually sound a lot better too. Thanks for posting this. It's going to my favorite section.
@@Bigband78 - Secret of the inventor :-) No, Having pretty rough treatment at the moment and stuck inside - the days are long so I amuse myself - Plenty nice ones still in store I know.
Bigband78: You didn't miss much. The Beatles, McCartney especially, always had a certain respect for music of that era, which often puzzled their fans. "Honey Pie" is a prime example. However, the best cover I've ever heard by a 1960s rock/pop band was the Dave Clark Five, doing "You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby" around 1965-66. That track really sizzled. It's the only version I'll ever listen to.
Get back in your yard and do the "Weed Pulling".I dug out this old video to give althazar a video response.I also have the song by the Virginia Creepers and Jan Garber.I can't find my "Creepers" copy.
Thank you for posting. For us older guys, these songs remind us of family/friends that are no longer with us.
I'm living in the past...not ready for a new decade!

Scrappy gives a very sweet rendition...why, he's just perfect for the part I'd say so very sweetly ;)
Actually, a facebook friend sent me a Beatles version of this, and yours popped up on the side.
An early electric Perfect in great condition.
@vertxxgg ,it's probably a top 20 tune of all time.

The Virginia Creepers are on a Marble Effect Vocalian.

Ada,I think this version is pretty good too.
John Lennon did a creditable version with the Beatles at the Cavern Club in 1961. Some songs transcend their eras.

Confidentially, this one's kinda neat.
Never heard it.
No need to be sorry. We all have our own tastes in music.I am basically a dance band collector.
That's OK Sweetie,I was just kidding around.
For some reason,it doesn't sound like Scrappy on vocal. He's imitating Irving Kaufman.
The Beatles actually sang this!
How did you find this old upload, are you bored?
Lou
Blackie,I have a better one but I misplaced it.
@Bobchai Just listened to a horrible version by the Beatles and this version has it BEAT to hell.
