The ones back home seem to be looking for women who will take care of them.
I don't know if it is because of the economy or what but you Igbo men are quickly losing your crown. Lol

My experience was when I met a (stranger) man from Nigeria at the bus stop in Hounslow, UK, he was so polite and started a nice conversation with me about what is like being African. I've known this for years. I'm Bajan (from Barbados), first went out with a Nigerian 20 years ago and got addicted to them. I'm now married to a Nigerian man for 15 years with 2 beautiful kids.
You didn't mention how cultured they are, especially those of the UK and the USA, they are so well brought up and highly educated, it must also be something in their culture that specifically teaches them how to treat women because it's unreal, black men of Caribbean extract can learn one or two things from them. I was initially very suspicious because of the sweet tongue but years has taught me that it is just how they are. If they're into you they'll spoil you.
And please don't mention the sex OMG!!!🥰🥰🥰. They have no inhibitions in bed, no shame😉😉😉. Oh yes, your average UK/USA Nigerian (sorry those are the ones I know) do smells nice, naturally good looking. And yes as someone mentioned earlier, most of the Caribbean girls I know in the UK dates Nigerian men.

@@rifafayola4577 Yay!!! Bajans in the house. Wha gine on my sister? My only advice is that there are two types of Nigerian men, those that are into you and those that aren't, and you'll know it. If you get one that is into you, hold on to him tight and enjoy the ride.
My number one fear was the language, my husband is Yoruba, I feared because of my lack of understanding of the lingo I would be rejected by his family, but no, I was accepted and the language is not an issue.
More of an issue is the cultural nuances. There are certain things you'll say to a Nigerian man that can be termed as rude or disrespectful. We aren't allowed to use casual swear words here and there either, it's a no no.
They aren't the best at housework, but mine is not bad, he chips in. He sees it as helping me :-), doesn't matter to me as far as he helps when he can.
Financially, he's the best. He feels it's his responsibility to pay the bills, though I pay my fair share, his preference would be to handle all of it.
He helped me through Uni, where he took our first son and literally raised him whilst finishing my studies.
Nigerians are tough and harsh when it comes to raising their kids, they constructively mold their kids. Our sons are now high achievers in education. It opened my eyes to a different way of bringing up kids. Tough love. I spoil them, he scolds them😉, we try to find some sort of balance in bringing them up.
I'm glad I came across this, because of the deliberate bad press Nigerians get. It is part of a bigger agenda against high achieving black groups, I digress.
Our sons are effectively Nigerians, and I'm always telling them that they have higher standards to follow, it's why I'm proud of what this lady is doing. Showing the true Nigerians to the everyone out there.
      Peace.

You came up a bit too superficial for me though. There is more to life than gucc, Versace and fancy cars. Its true that Nigerians place premium value on these things, and the love for these material things drives some Nigerians to the extreme in order to get money to life the fancy lifestyle. I hope all ladies will try to find out what a man does before dating him. Be sure that the money he is spending on you is money he earned legitimately. Make we no come dey hear stories that touch. Well, you have taken Nigerian men by surprise because it is difficult to find Africans who are honest enough to say any good thing about the Nigerian man. The fact remains, just as you said, we are different than other black African men. If there is a group 20 black African men but only 1 Nigerian in that group, you would easily pick him out by his dressing, smartness, etc! I want to thank you for all the good things you said about Nigerian men! Not long ago, I met a lady from East Africa at the church. I did not know she was a Doctor, actually, so after the introductions, I held her hand and told her that she was beautiful. She nearly started crying because no-one had ever told her that she was beautiful in her country! That was quite strange for me to take in! But to tell her she was beautiful came out naturally from me.

I am a lady. I think in Nigeria both ladies and males just learn to give affirmative words. I school in Asia, each time I complement ladies they go really happy though shy. One day, a lady told me, you are so expressive and you Nigerians are expressive. Mind you we have more Ghanaians in my school than Nigerians but they are able to spot the difference in how we comment. Nigerian men are very all she said especially if they are matured in mind and rich. That being said, I do not like other race to experience the bossy and beating side of our men. There is no doubt Nigerians are the major black race that like to do effizy more than even the westerners. Honestly, our meals are lovely. In my hostel, when I cook I give Asians and they love it. i made chicken peppersoup, even akara and gave them. They liked it well.

Janet Mayowa Olowe am a Nigerian female as well. I school in America. You are correct we are very affirmative. I love complimenting other African women and too many of them get shocked. It’s sad that too many I’ve met have not been hearing positive affirmation. I’ve noticed that aside from other Nigerians it’s black American women that are also more likely to compliment a fellow woman. Also some Nigerian men are abusive but not all, and it’s the culture that breeds it. We are just happy and expressive people. People are shocked by how genuine and sincere I always sound speaking.
