  • Empire Tracer Pump PMI First Strike Spring Feed Marker Test Gun Demo
Here is the Empire Tracer Pump Gun. Derived from the old PMI Tracer pump. This has mounting rails all over it and a mostly plastic grip frame and body. The plastic components do feel fairly solid and make the marker light weight. The ability to add the spring loaded feed tube from Empire I think greatly enhances this gun over the purely hopper fed version.
I've also seen folks take the pump handle and feedneck off completely and instead manually load fisrt strikes one at a time to great effect in sniping at distance (would recommend a barrel other than the stock barrel for that) you can actually even add the Lapco FSR barrel to this and make it quite the single file first strike sniper.
You can also mount a bottom line/duck bill or on/off asa on the bottom. One thing I don't like is that you can't adjust the pressure like you could if it took a standard regulator or allowed you to mount one like on a phantom.
Otherwise, it's an inexpensive way to try first strike rounds and stock class play even. If you like it you can then get more advanced markers. You can pick these up used quite frequently on ebay.

What HPA tank is that? Would you recommend that tank for the gun?

That is a Ninja HPA 13 CU tank. If you don't need a lot of air these do the trick and are much more consistent than Co2. They cost around $50 but you don't need to rehydro them. They are made of aluminum and are fairly light weight. You can get around 100 shots more or less depending on your setup and other variables. You can also get this with high pressure regulators for guns like automags and Tippmanns that like to be fed high pressure or with a regular regulator or adjustable pro reg to give you some ability to set it up to work several ways or a slp or super low pressure reg for guns like Bob Long G6rs (though you would still likely want more air with a G6R in terms of volume). Anyway, great little tanks...some folks use them in air through stock setup on mag fed guns as well.

iostream90210 I am planning on getting this gun but also making it stock class. Everything together is already pretty expensive, would you say it's necessary to replace the barrel?

TheRealToaster2 My opinion is that ultimately you will want to do replace it. But, I think you should get the stock barrel and try it out for stock class and see how you like it before dropping a lot more coin in to this gun or in to stock class in general until you are sure you love it. One bright spot is that at least it's auto cocker threaded so if you have other autococker barrel kits they will work as long as they fit through the pump handle (another reason to wait to get the gun so you can be sure) but also it means if you DO have to buy a barrel then you can then take that barrel to another gun later on as most out there are auto cocker threaded. If you REALLY feel you need a barrel then just getting a simple CP one piece barrel would be ideal. I have found them used on ebay quite often and in terms of size...you may want to size the paint that is available at your local store or field and also think about the climate you play in...if you play where it is wet or humid then gelatin paintballs are going to swell so you would want something that sizes a bit larger than what your paint sizes at in the store at room temp.

iostream90210 Thanks for the info! This will be my second paintball gun so I don't have any pieces to interchange. The gun I have right now is the Spyder MR1.
