It was surreal when everyone yelled at once then fell silent, looking at our nighttime light covering our daytime light. We also got to see stars, which we didn’t see last time because we were downtown and all the street lights came on.
A solar eclipse only occurs during the new moon phase. It would be a full moon only during a lunar eclipse. Study the phases of the moon and you'll get it.
