    Been riding the previous version Ventum NS1 for several months. Incredible riding characteristics, acceleration, and handling. I have a Canyon Aeroad, Supersix EVO, and Canyon Ultimate-they’re all great for different reasons but the NS1 seems to top them as an all rounder. Great customer service too, my bike arrived with a cosmetically damaged etap front derailleur from shipping and they promptly sent me a replacement one. If you’re on the fence then I highly highly recommend.

    Had the gen 1. It was very fast but heavy and material seems cheap. It was chalky and paint chipped easily. I felt it was open mold Chinese frame with an insane mark up. I cut my lost and sold the frameset to TPC got a Factor O2 instead.

    No doubt it is good value compared to the big names. But you can get the same spec'd Time ADH or ADHX if you want more tire clearance (it is more a road than gravel) for similar price. At least in the Dura Ace 303 Firecrest build I compared. Time is definitely higher quality.

    It looks like a great bike... But the one thing that's a sticking point for companies like this is resale. I know most cyclists will have a bike for a while, but if for whatever reason you need to sell this bike on, it's much harder to do so because less people know about them or are searching for them than any of the big manufacturers... which normally means the losses are bigger to shift it.

    David as a layman I'm struggling to see how that is an aero bike, I love my resto mods, the beauty of steel with modern groupsets but always been told how the round tubes are not aero, my TT bike is a Boardman Air, the tubes are like wings, looks so aero...... Then I see that bike with severely squared off back ends to the tubes, the back of the heatube looks like a 2 inch slab, the seat tube is almost square...... Could someone please explain to me how that is aero?
    PS, this is not a criticism, I genuinely want to know.

    • @davidarthur
      @davidarthur  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's all about Kamm tail, or kammback, which is an aero profile with the rear section chopped off - it offers good aerodynamic properties whilst providing weight and other benefits. Probably not as outright aero as the wing profiles on your Boardman but helps to make a lighter bike. It's become the big trend over the last few years and you see it on lots of bikes like this
