    Will: thank you so much for the great Yamaha Jet Boat videos. Always helpful, informative and entertaining. JBP offers great products, cost savings and helps boat owners DIY and enjoy more up time on the water! Many Thanks.

      I am down there all the time in Clearwater area but typically it is spur of the moment and only for a day or so. We used to work the boat shows with Cycle Springs Powersports but have not done that in many years. If you ever make it up to Panama City Florida or if you want to come to our gathering in July you are welcome to come stop by and see us.

    If I've fogged my engine in the fall is it best to start the engine on the old plugs to burn off any fogging oil and then change out the plugs for the new ones?

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that is my best recommendation

    Tks for this video. Quick question, some other videos I’ve seen people recommend disconnecting the cable form the coil cover before removing it. Is that extra step necessary?

    • @JetBoatPilot

      Not that we're aware of.

    What else can be used besides the wacker paste?

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jboy787 don't use anti seize, the aluminum does not like it. Not sure I'd recommend another brand.

    I dont see spark plugs package. For ar190 with the new 1.9 HO engine. I see the one for 1.8L.

      Same one for the 1.8 fits 1.9

    So what did you use before you found out about the wacker paste?

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kleveshellhorn6436 i used to think anti seize was the right product, but apparently that's for steel heads and these boats engines are aluminum head. Also the super high revs make for higher Temps so this paste is better for that amount of heat.

      @kleveshellhorn6436 good deal! The Wacker Paste is the Factory Certified Lubricant for spark plugs. It's hard to find unless you know someone that works at a dealership.

    NGK doesn’t recommend using anti seize or lubricant, what is your thought on that?

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We don't either. We recommend the Wacker Paste which is included with each 4 pack.

    Question, I just performed my 10 hour oil change on my 2023 195S. I have seen people say to change spark plugs at this time, and others that say leave them alone. I chose to leave them be. I do not change the plugs in my vehicles early, so is it imperative to change the plugs more than once a year? These are 4 stroke motors. Maybe you can enlighten me. Thank you in advance.

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah, not critical to change spark plus at our change time. Rule of thumb is after first run of the season when you've burned off the fogging oil in the system. Or every 100 hours.

    Where can I buy a tube of Wacker P12

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot  ปีที่แล้ว

      We don't sell the full tube but all JBP Spark Plugs come with a small quantity, 1 vial for a 4 pk of plugs

    • @JetBoatPilot

      We sell the plugs with Wacker Paste pre applied. We don't sell the tube by itself. It only comes in large quantities and unless you run a service shop, you'd never run out of a tube in three lifetimes! Lol

    I have seen nickel anti cease recommended for aluminum heads by many car manufactures. About the same price as this though. So whichever I think.

    Seems like the plugs should come with pre lubed threads 🧵 from the manufacturer

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know, but the MFR does not sell OEM plugs. These are NGK plugs which go in a variety of engines. Each engine is made from various metals so the Lube will be different
