With the new update you gotta be more proactive with Ares 2, the added basic attack damage is more than people think especially near hunters. It also makes gooseberries viable on Ares
Diamond Ares and support main, and I still miss the chains quite a bit lol. Either; try to be conservative, hold the chains until enemy is up really close (this is what I prefer when struggling to land them); or go the other way with it and just throw them out there as much as possible.
I go positive with him all the time lol, the only issue is if he gets dived by 2+ people while he's by himself. He's perfectly fine in a 1v1 (against most gods) or in a proper teamfight.
Ymir is such a bad char rn, they need to make his ult a cripple or make walking over his own 2 give him movement speed, maybe even his teammates but that would be hard to balance, your ymir in this game was crazy he was pitting in work but that char is so bad rn, I have 2.5k worshippers on him and he's my highest char but he feels so poop rn
@@SkywardMako Tier Lists are 100% opinion based, no matter who makes them. All gods are viable. Although I do agree that sometimes he feels lackluster, I think he's in a OK spot rn. Maybe some simple buffs like shorter cooldowns or like you said make the ult cripple instead of stacking a slow that's getting diminishing returns. Either way I bop people all the time bc his kit is just generally good no matter the meta.
@nicholausstevens1262 you can win with him for sure, but there's many picks that do his job better than him, if you want pure aggression, ares is better, if you want crazy lockdown, kumbha is better, if you want unstoppable peel, khephri or geb is better, he just doesn't really bring anything to the table that makes you wanna pick him over other gods beside damage (which other gods have too) or just purely being satisfying or funny to cheese with

The secret is to auto attack before and between chains, use your shield instead of the auto before the 3rd chain, and finally end off with your flames
