Brings the meaning of "when you're a hammer everything looks like a nail" saying to life. Police's response to a medical emergency is to handcuff and treat the victim like a criminal. This is insane.
15 minutes is a long time. After everything thats been happening in front of the camera these past few years... you mean none of them stopped and said... maybe we should check on this guy?😢 My heart breaks for his family.
That paper that is flashed up-------it says that the EMT's called the police for help when they got there. Why? Was Rhyker acting out of control? The EMT's were afraid of him, for some reason. The initial 911 call was for medical help, not for the police.
This horrific case is a combination of 2 previous cases that are extremely well known...so well know that all professionals in that room with Rhyker knew better. Elijah McClain was injected by medics during a police encounter. George Floyd was in the prone position for an extended period of time. Rhyker was subject to both scenarios simultaneously. Rhyker better not be swept under the rug as they have done or tried to do with the Flora Arson that claimed 4 little girls lives, carroll co botched double homicide that is currently in the world spotlight, the homicide of Ray Hanish in white county that barely got news coverage and so much more. Justice for Rhyker
Prone is so fucking dangerous. They should have parameters on that shit. For 15 minutes the EMS there couldn’t make sure he was still breathing? I hope none of them can sleep.
Psychological testing is needed. These first responders may have to deal with people lying and exaggerating, but this is common sense with so many known risk factors.
@@EddiePass-d2h and seeing a psychologist isn’t an insult. Idk why you would say I need to see one, even if you thought I was mistaken about the cause of the patient’s medical emergency
@@EddiePass-d2h you’re most likely an international bot or troll based on your lacking grasp of the English language coupled with your juvenile attempt at an insult
I wonder why WGN doesn’t mention, and now that we’ve seen the video here on TH-cam, that while they were holding him down and he was screaming that he couldn’t breathe. They were laughing at him, making jokes about it and then he died. My! What great heroes we have!
When are Americans going to realize never to dial 911 when there is an emergency at home. Earl would be alive if he was taken to the hospital by car, instead of dialing 911. When are Americans going to realize the U.S. has Police and EMT broken system. How many patients who should have received medical treatment are treated as though they committed a crime? How long is this going to continue? At one time I had friends who became policemen. One evening hanging around the group I asked what would they do if they encounter two people fighting? Would they break up the fight. Almost unanimously they stated: Hell, NO! I will wait until one is unable to fight and then arrest them. I thought this was very callous. I asked, don't you have a duty to protect people from harming themselves. They replied: I am not putting my safety over their problems. This was a time before dash or body cameras. I left the group and never spoke to them again.
Cops in this country are a disaster

Cops need to be held accountable

They suffocated a patient for having a seizure . So many cops do this because they dont know how seizures work. The person is disoriented and confused
This is simple they murdered this poor guy
That is a crying shame!

Somebody needs to go to prison over this!!!
Stop sending COPS and END "qualified immunity".
Paramedics will never be sent alone to a call about an aggressive person, period.

Psychology for a seizure. .u need to see a psychologist. . seizure is medical not mental health

Jasper county sheriff is 100% sure that nothing will happen to them because they have family that works in that area for the state police.
