Very imformative video as i'm at the beginning of my LWB shuttle conversion. I've ripped out the ceiling which contained a lot of lights and vents. but how do i deal with the junction between the front and rear headliners as the front end of the rear headliner moulds around a series of composite curves...hard to achieve with a replacement ply that only bows in one plane, unless i have to replace the front headliner as well at this juncture / junction 😁
Hi Tom I would like to build a halo roof for my T6 Kombi. It looked like you made the halo part out of MDF how did you fix that to the roof ? Also what LED kit did you get from Amazon please?
I used 12mm ply for the led to attach too, fixed that to the roof panel then carpet 12mm for the halo effect panel fixed with hidden screws.. the kit I can’t seem to find but this one from eBay as an example would work www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303901185759?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20190917065201%26meid%3D7768fb717fa7434ab9022bb87c5e1642%26pid%3D100935%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D154556437151%26itm%3D303901185759%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DSimplAMLv9PairwiseUnbiasedWebCpr08MlcGreedyV3KnnRecallV1%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2332490.c100935.m2460&amdata=cksum%3A3039011857597768fb717fa7434ab9022bb87c5e1642%7Cenc%3AAQAHAAABIArqPmzJfws5bLJj82RQBARS3srM2ZejXM26c6AIQlxSYWTkvrN6WcrmRCFWVqIxiSMqi4CLgWl%252BXWcCNA1JKlZXSRdidSfTKAw%252FPdDZ2oxdusr96nEA6T8ocete8UzVBBhwp9vPT0izClj7U4QTFEkiLiqSYKZeFY7Z4QM2y7OMWFn8hSJdp8ly1NBZBMih%252BokY77RLhuyAMAwywSo5eLDUGvR%252FmMshWev8U0fu5YkRruDlxPwOnmD2HUoaQdHffoln8XMnd8uxXglvnDp41pD57pMg1txJ1nNjCV3f39FOMnKE758zijQt0nOhLoNixI9RZzy0A7Yo424WoVnOz4wpVlxIUht6IlQ21b7y0pAf3Q0W6SOi28%252F5dwEc37lSWA%253D%253D%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2332490
Hi Tom where did you pick up the live feed for the lights, I would think it has to be a constant live otherwise it won’t work unless the doors are open ?
That looks great that mate, I’ve been on the trim suppliers there, just wondering what fabric that is? The light grey Suade 2mm foam backed? Thanks, Nick
Hi tom. I would like you to do a couple of jobs on my t5.1 and was wondering if you could help me and also could i have your contact details as i cant seem to find you on the internet 🤔

Hat's off to you Tom ....... Just perfect 👍
Thanks 😊 👍🏻
Nice job Tom .

Looks good. Would be useful to see what fixings you used to attach to the ceiling.
More detailed how to videos coming soon… we used hidden screws.

Hi Tom where did you pick up the live feed for the lights, I would think it has to be a constant live otherwise it won’t work unless the doors are open ?
@@neilfordham5790 the van has a leisure battery system installed so ran a new feed for it 👍🏻
Was the main roof panel a standard 8x4 ply.
This roof was the original roof using an 60mm off cut of another roof glued an fixed to make a one piece roof
What r they hidden screws??? Just a counter sink tek screws???
Yeah pretty much, make a little slice in the carpet.. screw in then re stick if needs be…
Hey guys. Looking to do the front cab headliner of a caddy. Some shakes to go around so would you still use foam backed or go without? TIA
I’d go for non foam backed… stretch is a bit better…
How is headliner not sagging in middle??? Did you use hidden clips to support it???
Hidden clips in all the original holes 👍🏻
How did you fix the halos to the roof?. Where did you connect the lights upto in the van?
The video wasn’t as detailed as planned… the halo was fitted with hidden screws. The lights were power but the existing rear lighting loom..
@@tomtdubz thanks for getting back to me. I think I know what you mean by wiring into the loom
Hi Guys which shade of grey are you using in the build from Harrison Trim Supplies
Light grey 👌🏻
@@tomtdubzthanks. Have you any videos where you have used the dark grey?
@user-jf6vk8si3z no sorry, the light grey tends to go nicer in my opinion..
@@tomtdubz would you have a link for the remote controlled RGB strip light
Nice one Bruv 🤙
That looks great that mate, I’ve been on the trim suppliers there, just wondering what fabric that is? The light grey Suade 2mm foam backed? Thanks, Nick
2mm foam backed 👍🏻
@@tomtdubz Thanks Mate, the light grey one? Sorry i know you say it’s the 2mm Suade in your vid. The halo looks even better after rewatching mate!
@@oakandburrow yeah the grey is 2mm foam backed 👍🏻
Do you sell them rear speaker boxes?
Yeah we do, contact me on Instagram and we can sort something out 👍🏻@tom_tdubz
What bed do they have in their Kombi?
Thanks for watching, they have a forty winks frame, we relocated the hinges to allow them to lift the rear section 👌🏻
Finished roof looked great but the crucial part of fixing the halo was missed out. 🙄🙄
Fixed with hidden screws in the carpet into the roof supports. Yep that bit is missing 🙈
