They definitely tuned how the directors use their points. Stages 15+ you used to only get scavengers and boss enemies to spawn. Now it's TONS of enemies of all varieties.
Hey man, maybe don't spoil the identity of the third survivor in the thumbnail for a DLC that came out less than a day ago? Not everyone read the leaks
Just a note on Longstanding Solitude, the new lunar item. On its own it is absolute trash, but if you can pair it with a brittle crown... or multiple brittle crowns, it is insane. You end up getting so much value from it. You don't suffer the negative from brittle crown because you don't have any gold to lose, and every time you hit an enemy you gain xp. So you end up being able to open as many chests as you want, and get tonnes of base health and damage from your base stats because of your high level.
thats actually super interesting, ill have to try that if I see the combo in the shop or something. Cool way to scale outside of items when you get more gold than you know what to do with.
I fought Mythrix and when he stole my friend's safer spaces he could not be damaged, not even the evade message or dodge sounds were playing. That run we ran into at least 15+ bugs.
The seed of life is not truly consumed when it revives you. It instead becomes a healing bloom that you can activate to spawn around 6 healing orbs. Basically a weaker fruit equipment that can technically be shared with allies.
Ran into an interesting bug last night with a friend. Far into the run (almost 2 hours) we found a new aspect to acquire. My friend grabbed it, and upon doing so, for every stage afterwards (including the bazaar), he was unable to pickup items normally. What would instead happen is that he could hover over the item like he's trying to grab it, and it would perpetually add it to his inventory at a VERY fast tick rate. Ended the run with over 7000 ATG missles.
Shame how QA is damn near non existent with this patch. So many bugs you'd see with just a few minutes of playing, from False Son's reticle to items no longer having their rarity colored outline, Mercenary taking damage while ramping off of terrain with secondary and clipping through the floor like crazy since the Devotion update. So, so many glitches.
I think they added a lot of chaff items and a lot of the stuff doesnt look or feel polished. Still a very nice update but its kinda sad to see it not have the classic ror polish to it..
What's with all the "when hit..." items? Do the devs not play their own game? You get hit twice and die on pretty much any difficulty, and it gets WORSE over time.
Well Gearbox purchased the game and threw it on a different dev team that definitely never had prior experience to the game so their way of trying "new things" really don't work
Longstanding gratitude (new blue item) is actually busted if you have ghors tome. I don’t know why but it gives you 1/4 of a level any time you pick up a tome, so if you have like 1 or 2 ghors, maybe a clover, then you can still full loot a stage and you get an absurd amount of levels. I’m at stage 3 and I’m level 67 it’s nuts.
Not *quite* invincibility. I had that combo happen to me earlier and it took sitting in six overlapping mushroom attacks to run out of Warped Echo charges. Definitely a combo where you only lose if you fall asleep.
I picked up silence between two strikes and I had a similar bug occur. Some stacks of my items would be randomly multiplied by hundreds, such as the symbiotic scorpion suddenly going up to 386 stacks or whatnot. But I also couldn’t pick up any items, and as the seeker when I used her utility, the rest of her abilities would be unresponsive and sometimes I couldn’t even sprint. This was fixed when I handed it over to an equipment drone. Yes I had Echo, and it was like every few frames it would go up a stack, and even after scrapping it the bug persisted. It was only when I handed the aspect over to an equipment drone did the nightmare end. It was sorta disappointing for a few stages as I had the Magic Conch+Clover wombo combo and I couldn’t pick anything up.
Some info about the Gilded elites (and less about Twisted): Gilded elites are for whatever reason insanely tanky. Whenever they put up their gold bubble around them, all damage they take from you will cause them to steal your money. They restore health from taking your money, making it so you probably don't want to attack them if they put up that shield. Twisted elites on the other hand are still fairly unknown, but here's what I got: When they hit you, you essentially get a collapse-like effect. In all me and my friends testing, this collapse effect has been a one hit kill both times he got hit. The bubble Twisted enemies have around them is currently unknown what it does. Conclusion: If you get a Gilded enemy as a boss, hope you got really high damage or a lot of time on your hands. If you get hit by a Twisted, pray you have some sort of revive
Twisted elites are anti proc chain. If you hit an enemy in their bubble you take 2.5% max hp damage and if the enemy was an elite you get its affix debuff
Hi Woolie you're doing great keep up the amazing content! I just wanna clarify, The lunar Item "Longstanding Solitude" actually works differently from what you've stated.. Yes it does turn all gold gained into exp BUT everytime you level up, you receive a free purchase which can be used to open any chest BUT ALSO, use Shrines! So if you're stuck in the gold portal stage and have "Longstanding Solitude", you still will be able to complete the stage via levelling up and purchasing the shrines one by one, it'll just be really slow haha o7
Like with all lunar items, there is a catch here, and I'd say this is the biggest one; longstanding solitude effectively limits your future purchases to a total of 94 (level cap) subtracted by whatever your current level is when you got the item. In a nutshell, you can only buy stuff as long as you have room for levels, so unless you're playing with artifact of sacrifice, this causes item gaining problems. Also, you might end up locking yourself out from gold statues or halcyon statues later on, as no levels means no more purchases (I just recently suffered this miserable fate lol).
I actually took the Longstanding Solitude and went to fight Aurelius and it took me a good 30 minutes of killing mobs just to have enough "Purchases" to activate the beacons.
Livid about 5 new white items and no new items that grant crit chance. Every new update just makes it harder and harder to build crit by diluting the item pool

I have to hard reset the game every time I sit down to play or else it'll crash 2 to 4 levels in. But otherwise, nothing else except a bit of lag sometimes
I interacted with Halcyon Shrine on stage 5 and got a gold portal instead of the green one. So if you’re trying to get gold a portal keep an eye out for those as well!
@@DOG_EATER_1887Probably base game, the dlc dont add this kind of things but the update that comes whenever a expansion comes out usually its like a patch (even though you dont have the dlc)
Twisted elites seems to make all enemies in their radius (akin to haunted elites) reflect a portion of damage dealt back to you. The twisted enemies themselves don't reflect damage as far as I can tell.
I couldnt figure out what twisted elites do, they have a huge bubble like Celestine but its blue, they spawn after stage 5. I was taking a ton of damage when i was hitting them, i think they might reverse healing effects but I wasnt totally sure if i was getting burned by something else, like 700 steady hp drain over 2 seconds on goated huntress run
Twisted elites don’t do anything directly, but any other enemies that are in the radius reflect damage back at you when you hit them. So you have to get the elite taken down first or else you’ll potentially kill yourself by shooting the other enemies
Gearbox did a great job but i really need to see acrid fixed, when you leap usually if you hit something you would slam and stop leaping allowing you to hit a wall and leap 2 tjmes vertically but not your just stuck in the leap animation and slide down the side
Something worth noting about Chance Doll: I had a few stacks of the item yesterday during one of my runs. I was on Rallypoint Delta after looping, and I got a Shatterspleen from a chance shrine. I can't really find anyone else talking about getting yellow items from chance shrines, so idk if it was a bug or if its just really rare or if its even related to Chance Doll at all. But if it does have a chance to give you yellow items, that's kinda crazy.
My main problem with chef is that he feels way too close range and risky to get the max value out of him without enough survivability to help. Plus, his fire not going where you aim when you sprint and instead where you’re running is not fun at all
I'm so thankful for your videos. They've helped me a lot with this game, especially when I first started several years ago, and you continue to make great videos for this game. This game is one of my favorite games of all time, but there are some parts of it that are a bit confusing and would have taken me much longer to figure out myself. You also release videos really fast after updates/dlc, so it's really nice.
18:35 so gearbox will privately message content creators but not have open communication for consoles where the game is bricked and literally unplayable?
Longstanding Solitude + Roll of Pennies + Hellfire Tincture is absurd, just make sure you have enough items to keep yourself alive. I stood in a mushroom fire pool for like 5 seconds and leveled up a good 4 or 5 times. Maybe Brittle Crown ties into it too? Haven’t tried that yet.
Woolie there is a bug using, False son beam if you charge it sprint, let go of the button and hold it again you can hold the beam for 15 seconds at base HP.
Another commenter mentioned a bug involving Aurelionite’s Blessing, aka, the aspect of radiance, also works weirdly with other aspects. When I was playing as the seeker I picked up SBTS (lightning aspect) and by next stage the items I had picked up the prior stage suddenly got multiplied by hundreds, and I could no longer pick up items. I did have echo and its stacks went up incredibly fast, though scrapping it didn’t fix the butterfingers bug (can’t pick up items for shit). The nightmare only ended when I gave the aspect to an equipment drone and I could finally go back to my splendid Magic Conch+Clover run.
Hey Woolie, a new roguelike came out a short while ago called 'Shoulders of Giants: Ultimate' and I think it might be up your alley! You're a frog piloting a mech and you can equip a bunch of unique weapons and go on expeditions to get cool upgrades and the line. One lets you create grind rails.
Longstanding Solitude + Gor's Tome sounds like a good combination to me. If you have already the tome, grab the Lunar item, if not, don't do it, you probably won't scale fast enough from money. Maybe it's also good with War Bonds but War Bonds is a lot harder to get.
I have an answer for the luminous shot bug, if you whiff a buffed primary the next of ANY ability you do gets the bonus, this also applies to atgs or ukes
I would like to mention that Ghor's Tome + Long Standing Solitude is a great way to hit max level and never get more items without Growth Nectar. I had the combo in one of my runs and it bricked the run because i couldn't find a cleansing pool
For the Twisted Elite monsters: They actually apply a "Thorn" buff on every enemy inside the zone (except themselves). Much like a Razorwire on every enemy around, you should avoid them, unless you can push them away (commando's secondary or Seeker's secondary, Rex's Utility). You "should" avoid them, but you can just target them first, I haven't seen them spawned with Celestine, so for now it's a safe bet to shoot them down when you see either (no thorn effect on the celestine while making the Twisted invisible) The damage apply no matter if you are in the range of their zone, but being in the zone doesn't seem to affact you.
Second run in the DLC I got a sonorus whispers and longstanding solitude at the bazaar after stage 2, not knowing what they were. Didn't think properly about how solitude works and jumped into gold portal. Sure, I spent like 40 minutes there, scraping together the cash to trigger the beacons but I also got like 20 items in that stage alone, including one from aurelionite, and one each from the two stone titans that were spawned at the start. You leave golden coast so stupidly accelerated if you manage to have the patience to slog through gortal Ended that run after 5 stages and going to mithrix while Level 99 and having 325 items.
The Boomerang has a 15% chance to proc on any hit, where it will do a small circle dealing 30% damage on everything it hits as well as stunning them, which is insane for someone like Mercenary who's R will just throw them out constantly and nothing will get a chance to do anything
Combo Antler with focus prism and noxious thorn and engineer turrets. Also I think think blocked damage still triggers it. (like with Tougher Times) I played for a few hours yesterday and it felt like even if the damage was blocked they still where receiving damage from the attack. I need to do more research to confirm that's correct though. I had a lot of items when i noticed it so it could have been something else. I do know that the engineer turrets having it was awesome. If they got destroyed they usually are taking things with em. proc it with gasoline and it could get you out of a bad situation.
To my understanding it might have something to do with the twisted elites. I think they reflect damage back to you? Something like that. Maybe you accidentally killed yourself LOL, I've definitely done that. I haven't had any issue with OSP, only weird bugs with the new elites.
I did long standing solitude in a gold portal and yea.... you'll be there awhile . I only kept the run going because i had that red Sonorous shell ( I call it the magic conch ). It felt like i was playing with Sacrifice on. Beyond busted run.
Longstanding Solitude correction!! Every time you level up you get to interact with something once that would require gold. So not the void cradles, tp, other portals, etc… I think the ratio of gold to exp decreases per stack, but you also get more unlockable tokens per level up. And yes, can confirm, Gilded Coast takes FOREVER to unlock anything.
for the new lunar, in my experience it seems pretty good, the gold to exp ratio seemed good and I managed to get to the level cap of 94 pretty quickly, though I was around stage 10 when I picked it up so I was getting a lot of gold.
Unstable Transmitter is awful on the void portal before the first expansion boss. Did the part where you camp out in the void sphere waiting for it to charge, got hit twice and was sent far away from the safe zone and died twice, but luckily I had two revives. Had to play it safe but it didn't matter in the end lol
4:27 thats the shrine of rebirth after the boss where you put items into the artifact gilded elites steal gold when taking damage with the bubble around them active, NOT when they hit you twisted elites basically give enemies around them an antler shield type thing. the reflected damage is unavoidable and can be very dangerous so you should always defeat the elite as fast as possible prayer beads does NOT trigger when you level up, but instead gains experience seperately. You can basically start leveling like youre at level 1 for a fifth of the stats. max health scales at a rate of +30% of the base stat per level, all other scaling stats scale at a rate of 20%. If you remember that you can calculate how much theres stored in the item Longstanding Solitude does NOT give you an item on level up, but a free cash purchase. the only thing you cant do with the item is charge the halcyon shrine. to clear gold coast you just have to level up 7 times o activate the 7 beacons. Also its amazing in multiplayer because experience, unlike cash, is shared across players. so you get purchases way faster
The new lunar item is not only not very good (the "free purchase" buff does not carry over between stages, and also exp requirements to level up scale exponentially, i dont think i have ever leveld up far beyond 40 even in the really long loop runs) but it's also buggy as fuck, after a few stages with it (including being trapped in the golden level for seven levelups before being able to get out) it just broke completely so that nothing could ever again be purchased - walking up to a chest and interacting with it consumed the free purchase buff but didn't open the chest.
The twisted elites are like a dark blue color and only spawn on stage 6 and after is what I’ve found. It has a weird blue aura like the other Ellie that appears when you loop and one me at full hp. It was a Lemurian.
There are definitely a lot more enemies, especially in the earlier stages, and there are more elites, I've been getting a lot of mending elites on the first stage, and there are a lot of small enemies (beetles and Lemurians)
Longstanding solitude gives you a free item purchase not an item to prevent soft locking like in the gold portal. It acts some what like captain’s hacking. And it persist to the next level, so you can save one for the red chest if you know that there will be one in the next level at the start of that level.
Chef is NOT low on damage, one ignition pack and you’re getting yourself some of the best burst damage, I was surprised when I melted beetle queen in seconds with chef
Yeah, so he has bad damage unless you find one specific green item, then it gets a lot better but if youre banking on that why not play artoficer who has the same flamethrower attack and much better akills othwrwise
@@fedweezy4976 Even without ignition pack chef still melts, ignition just makes his damage go bonkers, still easily playable and outdamages most survivors right off the bat
The DLC sucks, tons of bugs and glitches, the items are either insanely broken or immensely awful and the whole thing feels like its been stress tested by 4 year olds. Hopoo needs to buy their IP from gearbox back
The new lunar item feels painful later stages but from how it felt for me messing with it: - Theres an icon that tells you when you can get a chest for "free" - its better with more of the item since it gives you more of the stacks per lvl - Chance shrines work normally so you can still get nothing from them - You need to use the stack for everything you should originally need money for (Drones, The Healing Shrines, etc) - I believe I saw it interacting with brittle crown but its hard to tell Imo you really need alot of them (maybe around 20+) for it to be useable even then I feel it only gets WORSE later on.
Luminous shot is pretty good on rail gunner since the scoped shot (not scoping itself) gives a stack. Unfortunately the bonus damage is seperate from the attack that triggers it so it can't take advantage of high base damage abilities, or from crowbars if you already go through the top 10% hp with your primary attack. Other than that, damage does not scale with stacks, only increases the max charge count giving diminishing returns. That being said, it's great on loader who gets a charge on every grapple, regardless of if the grapple lands or not. Since grapple resets the cooldown on a miss, it allows you to quickly build up charges even at low levels.
Chronic expansion is overpowered no matter how you cut it. Ignoring the fact that it pairs with HMP, the damage build up has no limit. Meaning that as long as you "maintain combat", which for now means killing or hitting enemies, you can continuously build up damage. By the time that you get three of them, every five kills is an extra 20% damage which is just a whole stopwatch if you ignore the fact that this is a new damage source which adds to damage multiplicatively. And HMP works with it. As long as you have a gesture HMP build you will just build up damage infinitely on a stage. And HMP wouldn't replace your usual kills, it would just add to and maintain the stacks for you. This item just feels like you threw a couple items mods together and found an obscure synergistic effect between them to do something you shouldn't be able to. Except it's all that by itself.
Sale star is great and even more broken if you have command. Item macro in command is not something I expected but it is what it is. Honestly if you are playing command, your first green item should be sale star, then track down large chests, then regular chests. Green item boss drop could also help sustain the chain of greens and by stage two you'll have 4 or 5 sale stars on top of all the items you would normally have. Each additional stack will make the first chest possibly give more items. I don't know the math but I got about 5 items out of one chest when I used 20 stacks of sale star. Woolie mentions that sale star chooses from the same pool, which is of course useful for legendary chests, but I think he's missing the value that has on large chests. 20% chance for reds out of a large chest. Ignoring the extra items it changes the odds of a large chest to 36% for at least one red, and 4% chance for two reds. Clover doesn't do anything to chest chance so this is nuts.
Longstanding solitude can be useful with other gold gaining items like roll of pennies, ghor's tome, or best of all brittle crown. Giving free chest and shrine activations (like the ones on gilded coast) unfortunately it's stat bonus's are limited by the lvl 94 limit which is where the prayer beads come in. Acting as a separate place to siphon xp you can continue to gain stats. Though I haven't tested how practical it is.
am i the only one noticing how many items we're getting, me and my friend are going out of stage one with around 10+ items each, almost always getting a red on top of that, we easily get out of void fields with two rows of items and a bunch of reds even some top tier yellows sometimes its crazy they really integrated that borderlands 3 drop chances into ror2
I found longstanding solitude to be pretty interesting, if you have the opportunity to piss away lunar coins to reroll for as many as you can it's not too bad. obviously the earlier you get it the better, as you level up quicker
false son scales with his MaxHP Empty Secondary stacks give speed and regen take a total of 6 items 1 gesture 4 gesture/fuel cell tonic equipment stoneflux pauldron a single empty stack gives almost as much health regen as the slug it is very strong, you just need to build up gestures and tonic
So something definitely breaks when you have an aspect item now. I was in a run and picked up ifrits and became 100% invincible but I could not pick up items and my character was just exploding with things constantly, it went away when i put the aspect in a drone. I'm glad i clipped it because it was insane
from what i have played londstanding solitude is super op, i got rather consistently to level 25+ by stage 3* *i used a halciyon shrine stage one and went to void fields i also beat the gilded coast with it, it took forever
Nah honestly? Not too bad If you are having difficulty killing shit, I suggest playing with the swarm artifact. That makes things easier to kill. Also do you know that her last ability gives her a + percentage to all her stats based on their stacks? You have to reach max stacks on her last ability before you start doing any damage whatsoever.
If you can’t get money and your in the gold portal you can still activate the pillars, for some reason they just put them all on timers, either that or there’s an internal money counter that allowed me to use it
Longstanding Solitude has been a blast to run when using Artifact of Sacrifice. Since gold is useless on a Sacrifice run anyway, having all those extra levels while STILL getting free items is such a massive power spike. God runs guaranteed!
I picked up longstanding solitude because I didn't know what it was. It pairs really good (as far as I could tell) with prayer beads. By the end of the run I had like 50 stacks on prayer beads and I went through 5 stages (roughly) with it. I didn't get to get rid of the beads though.😢
i took long standing solitude on false son monsoon and then went into the gold portal, it took ages but by the end of the run, i had 11 thousand health

If you get hit by a Twisted, pray you have some sort of revive
Thanks!
Twisted elites are anti proc chain. If you hit an enemy in their bubble you take 2.5% max hp damage and if the enemy was an elite you get its affix debuff
They lied when they said dlc was droppin on console and pc at the same time. Shit just doesn’t work.
Well technicallyyyyyyyyyy they did release at the same time lol
Hi Woolie you're doing great keep up the amazing content! I just wanna clarify, The lunar Item "Longstanding Solitude" actually works differently from what you've stated..
Yes it does turn all gold gained into exp BUT everytime you level up, you receive a free purchase which can be used to open any chest BUT ALSO, use Shrines! So if you're stuck in the gold portal stage and have "Longstanding Solitude", you still will be able to complete the stage via levelling up and purchasing the shrines one by one, it'll just be really slow haha o7
brittle crown
@@IcyFlame606 I was thinking of going that! I also tried with roll of pennies and I levelled up 15 times in a stage 😮
@@SeventyBoredMinks do lunar pools work to remove it from your inventory?
I actually took the Longstanding Solitude and went to fight Aurelius and it took me a good 30 minutes of killing mobs just to have enough "Purchases" to activate the beacons.
Livid about 5 new white items and no new items that grant crit chance. Every new update just makes it harder and harder to build crit by diluting the item pool
What? It's not hard to build crit 10 lenses or 14 green scythes that heal gives you enough crit then it's just build some damage and whatever else.

I have to hard reset the game every time I sit down to play or else it'll crash 2 to 4 levels in. But otherwise, nothing else except a bit of lag sometimes

Also sale star is so goated, i got 3 reds outta the stage 4 chest
Twisted elites don’t do anything directly, but any other enemies that are in the radius reflect damage back at you when you hit them. So you have to get the elite taken down first or else you’ll potentially kill yourself by shooting the other enemies

hellfire tincture/noxious thorn might be cool. I'm noticing a few items added could be used to make a tank/reflect build or something similar.
Gearbox did a great job but i really need to see acrid fixed, when you leap usually if you hit something you would slam and stop leaping allowing you to hit a wall and leap 2 tjmes vertically but not your just stuck in the leap animation and slide down the side
If you get the new lunar item far in a run where killing one enemy gives you a lot of gold. You will level up like crazy even if you are at level 20.
Something worth noting about Chance Doll:
I had a few stacks of the item yesterday during one of my runs.
Maybe happens when you naturally get a legendary, it upgrades it to a yellow? IDK
The first thing I thought about when i heard a ror2 dlc dropping was how woolie was bouta drop some bangers 💅
I think I found a bug where trophy hunter benefits from sales star without consuming it, so you get a free item
For people who are perfectionists and want to skip the spoilers onto the perfect time: 1:08
Longstanding Solitude + Roll of Pennies + Hellfire Tincture is absurd, just make sure you have enough items to keep yourself alive. I stood in a mushroom fire pool for like 5 seconds and leveled up a good 4 or 5 times. Maybe Brittle Crown ties into it too? Haven’t tried that yet.
Also for helping getting the halcyon seed if u get two halcyon statues(?)/altars(?) twice in a row the second one is a guaranteed gold portal spawn
The seed of life is in the bottled chaos pool, absolutely insane in co-op with a gesture of the drowned, fusion cell and fast equipment set up.
It's sad how it's not as hype as I imagined it would be like the previous DLC
Thank you Woolie, dont listen to these guys complaining about "spoilers", we came here for info and thats ehat you gave us
Lots of love
I mean it's easy enough to not have the spoilers while still giving info? This is a video about the items
Haven't bought the DLC yet due to working on other games, but will be playing this when I can, looks good.
The prayer beads have its own leveling bar not tied to the player so it is still useful at high levels
For the Twisted Elite monsters: They actually apply a "Thorn" buff on every enemy inside the zone (except themselves). Much like a Razorwire on every enemy around, you should avoid them, unless you can push them away (commando's secondary or Seeker's secondary, Rex's Utility). You "should" avoid them, but you can just target them first, I haven't seen them spawned with Celestine, so for now it's a safe bet to shoot them down when you see either (no thorn effect on the celestine while making the Twisted invisible)
The damage apply no matter if you are in the range of their zone, but being in the zone doesn't seem to affact you.
You leave golden coast so stupidly accelerated if you manage to have the patience to slog through gortal
Ended that run after 5 stages and going to mithrix while Level 99 and having 325 items.
I think they might’ve broke one shot protection. I’ve been killed in one hit twice today while at full hp
So not the void cradles, tp, other portals, etc…
I think the ratio of gold to exp decreases per stack, but you also get more unlockable tokens per level up.
4:27 thats the shrine of rebirth after the boss where you put items into the artifact
gilded elites steal gold when taking damage with the bubble around them active, NOT when they hit you
twisted elites basically give enemies around them an antler shield type thing. the reflected damage is unavoidable and can be very dangerous so you should always defeat the elite as fast as possible
prayer beads does NOT trigger when you level up, but instead gains experience seperately. You can basically start leveling like youre at level 1 for a fifth of the stats. max health scales at a rate of +30% of the base stat per level, all other scaling stats scale at a rate of 20%. If you remember that you can calculate how much theres stored in the item
Longstanding Solitude does NOT give you an item on level up, but a free cash purchase. the only thing you cant do with the item is charge the halcyon shrine. to clear gold coast you just have to level up 7 times o activate the 7 beacons. Also its amazing in multiplayer because experience, unlike cash, is shared across players. so you get purchases way faster
Bless you
Longstanding solitude is crazy with brittle crown. You can easily get chests especially if you have a high fire rate
There are definitely a lot more enemies, especially in the earlier stages, and there are more elites, I've been getting a lot of mending elites on the first stage, and there are a lot of small enemies (beetles and Lemurians)
aw dude seeker when you have gorag's opus with two horns. you go dragonball on the enemies with seeker its so fun.
Chef just doesn’t have bad damage in general, use skills while charging and you’re doing great burst damage and fairly consistent too
@@fedweezy4976 Even without ignition pack chef still melts, ignition just makes his damage go bonkers, still easily playable and outdamages most survivors right off the bat
His survivability could be a bit better but the food you get from enemies comes in clutch
Chef is very low on consistent damage to flying enemies. Fighting a vagrant or xi construct is hell.
The DLC sucks, tons of bugs and glitches, the items are either insanely broken or immensely awful and the whole thing feels like its been stress tested by 4 year olds. Hopoo needs to buy their IP from gearbox back
The new lunar item feels painful later stages but from how it felt for me messing with it:
- Theres an icon that tells you when you can get a chest for "free"
- its better with more of the item since it gives you more of the stacks per lvl
- Chance shrines work normally so you can still get nothing from them
- You need to use the stack for everything you should originally need money for (Drones, The Healing Shrines, etc)
- I believe I saw it interacting with brittle crown but its hard to tell
Imo you really need alot of them (maybe around 20+) for it to be useable even then I feel it only gets WORSE later on.
I found longstanding solitude to be pretty interesting, if you have the opportunity to piss away lunar coins to reroll for as many as you can it's not too bad. obviously the earlier you get it the better, as you level up quicker
false son scales with his MaxHP
Empty Secondary stacks give speed and regen
take a total of 6 items
1 gesture
4 gesture/fuel cell
tonic equipment
stoneflux pauldron
a single empty stack gives almost as much health regen as the slug
it is very strong, you just need to build up gestures and tonic
Antlers is great on engineer, and not bad on Loader. In addition anyone can use it with barrier builds.
When will you release a chef, false son, and seeker best load out and general guide.
I have to note the Halcyon Shrines can also be Gold Portals instead of the usual green.
Commando + longstriding + brittle crown + prayer beads is my favorite item combo this expansion
Today I confirmed that sale star works on those legendary chests with a guaranteed red item (so you get 2).
So something definitely breaks when you have an aspect item now. I was in a run and picked up ifrits and became 100% invincible but I could not pick up items and my character was just exploding with things constantly, it went away when i put the aspect in a drone. I'm glad i clipped it because it was insane
I should note it also bugged my movement speed and jump height
Upon further inspection I hit around 29k stacks of echo somehow lol
noxious thorn can apply hundreds of bleed stacks if paired with tincture and razorwire
So we tried command with solitude, we grabbed solitude on mul-t and spammed brittle crowns, and some
Other items, we maxed out level on stage 4
from what i have played londstanding solitude is super op, i got rather consistently to level 25+ by stage 3*

Longstanding Solitude has been a blast to run when using Artifact of Sacrifice. Since gold is useless on a Sacrifice run anyway, having all those extra levels while STILL getting free items is such a massive power spike.
God runs guaranteed!
Another option for a gold portal, I believe you can pray at the Halcyon shrine while its charging to stop it and spawn a gold portal instead.

The new stages of this dlc are absolutely stellar. A massive step up from survivors of the void stages and it adds so much variety back to the game. I hope gearbox does more updates for this game, or potentially works on a ror3.
Also does anyone know if luminous shot works on railgunner. I was doing a run yesterday as her and that was the first time I saw the item, but I didn’t really get to test it because I was so far in everything just died too quick already.
