Worlds 2018 - Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band & D/M Emma Barr MARCH OFF AS WORLD CHAMPIONS!

- Richard Parkes steered FM Montgomery Pipe Band to their twelfth World Title at Glasgow Green on Saturday 18 August 2018.
The Band collected victories in both the MSR and the Medley and treated a delighted crowd to an impressive March Off in the increasing gloom - it was almost 9pm by the time the Finale ended.
The Band was led off the field by World Champion Adult Drum Major, Emma Barr (and get very proud father, carrying her trophies!).

This video always gives me the goosebumps. I think I get second hand pride just listening to it knowing all the years of practice behind it all. Must be an extraordinary feeling marching off the green as the champions.

Emma is amazing
Drum Major Emma Barr won the WorldCamp2018, so she IS the best!. She was appointed drum major of Field Marshal Montgomery in 2015, having previously represented Ravara and the PSNI bands. She hails from Ballygowan and is a regular prize winner at local competitions and major championships. Her title haul includes the World, UK, British, Scottish, All Ireland and Ulster Championships at Juvenile level and she has won the Champion of Champions title for the past 3 years.

It´s hypnotic, the last 3 minutes. I´ve listened to it 20 times a day in the last days. The rest of the day in runs as a circut in my backhead.

Two Hornpipes: The first one is 'Little Hands' by FMM piper Scott Wallace and is included in his book 'Indigenous' which was released during Piping Live (Aug.2018)
The second one is called ” PM Calum Campbell's Caprice”.
