Hi Pam! I just love the variety of things you stitch. Can’t wait to see starts and progress. And those are some ambitious plans for quilts too! It’s such a blessing to have kids come home for Christmas, especially if they all come home. That just fills a momma’s heart to overflowing! May you and your family experience much joy, peace, and love this Christmas.
I’m pretty sure I won’t be starting all those patterns but I have choices! I started one last night and 🫢 bought a new pattern the other day because my group of stitching friends want to do a SAL. I feel pretty confident about starting one of the other patterns. We will see how that works out. Pam
Happy to be of service!!! 🤣🤣🤣. Love that you went down on Mr. Mouse so we can see some of the blue coming in. Love every single thing you stitch. Vibrant Vistas is stunning. 😘
The “Night Before Christmas” book you showed is the book I grew up with! Recently, I was helping my stepmom clean out a bedroom and she pulled it out. She said “this can be donated to the thrift store.” I said, “oh, no, I will take that home with me.” Thanks for the video!
What luck that your Night Before Christmas Book made its way to you. My mother doesn’t remember what happened to the one we had but there have been a number of moves over the years.
I'm with you about stitching mice! Maybe, I could stitch one and leave off the tail.....maybe. Tasha Tutor, I have a couple of her patterns that I would like to start after Christmas. They would be nice to display in the winter. I have just ordered one with a little girl on snowshoes that is so very sweet. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
I wouldn’t go searching out a mouse to stitch, that’s for sure! Mickey Mouse doesn’t count and I would stitch Brenda Gervais’ mice but that’s it! I am going to have to see what other cross stitch I can find using Tasha Tudor’s artwork. I just stumbled on the first one and had to stitch it right away. Now I’m itching to start this latest one asap. Merry Christmas. Pam
No I haven’t started the LucaS mouse yet🙈 so many patterns…so little time. Wow Kathleen really hooked you down a rabbit hole 😆 oh my GOSH that Village Tree piece!
If for no other reason…get it out and make sure Walt’s face didn’t bleed onto your fabric. Did you see my video where I showed that? My kit was unopened so it’s not like someone moved the components around. I couldn’t use the kit fabric because there’s a blurry face on it. I just hope there’s enough ink left to make the transfer like it’s supposed to. Makes me worried that I’m going to do all the stitching and not be able to transfer the face. It’s a cute piece but, like most Disney patterns, it’s fussy.
Yes! I have checked it and I make sure that I keep it transfer side up and nothing on top of it. I will add it to the list of kits I need to start in 2024! @@StitchingBetweenTheLines
Great visit! I like everything you show ! It’s funny you were taking about the Twas the Night Before Christmas book and I was wondering which one you would show and it was the same one I put out every year 😁. It was my book when I was little published the year I was born along time ago 😂. Also I am going to purchase the Christmas Village chart you showed … love it! Thanks and see you next month, Kim☀️
I checked my book’s publication date. It came out just a couple years before I was born. I wish I had the exact book from my childhood but nobody knows where it went. Probably my mother weeded it out when downsizing. Thanks for stopping by. Pam
Tasha Tudor was an interesting person. She lived as if in the 1800's. I've seen at least one PBS documentary about her, a long time ago. She lived to be quite old. She has almost a cult following even now. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. It's my favorite holiday too.
Now I’m intrigued. I will have to look and see if I can find out more about her. I had never heard of her before falling in love with the first pattern I found. When I showed it someone else mentioned being familiar with her art work. I had no idea she was a well known artist. Hope you have a nice Christmas, too. Pam
Hi Pam, I have a copy of The Night Before Christmas that I would be happy to send you if you would be interested in it. It’s the 1950 reissue of the original 1949 version. It’s in excellent condition with illustrations by Corinne Malvern.
That is so generous of you! I have both of the 1949 and the 1950 editions plus a 1972 edition all illustrated by her. If, however, you would like to send it along so that it can join my collection I would happily accept it. I love knowing I have someone’s treasured classic book. I have a number of books lovingly inscribed by the giver, too. I hope they’d be happy knowing their books ended up with someone who enjoys owning it. You can email me at ormsbypamela@gmail.com for my address. Pam.
Guess I missed the live feed which is fine because I usually don't watch these. I have adult attention deficit or something. I watch Flosstube here and there 20 to 30 minutes at a time. I hate the time change too! I don't think anyone else knew about it either. I'll be back later to watch because the Jingle Ball is starting soon. So I will be back later.
Oh, have fun at the Jingle Ball. I didn’t do a live feed but might have clicked something wrong for a minute. Things are different on my new ipad so it takes me a minute to get the video upload started. There’s a certain amount of poking around to find the right place to click what I want. I understand only being able to watch for 20 or 30 minutes. I rarely watch some of the longer videos all in 1 go. Plus, I speed up the video and fast forward some parts.
@@StitchingBetweenTheLines Ohhh. That's why it said I was late and it was over. Technology is bypassing me the older I get. I bought a laptop 2 years ago and hate Win 11, probably because I skipped the whole Win 10 thing. I still love my Win 7 on my desk top and don't get me started on Excel and Word. No doubt, I'm getting older than I want to admit. Have a lovely holiday with your family.
Love your progress on your beautiful wips. Happy stitching!

I stitch Christmas all year. My favorite time of the year. You sure have some ambitious plans for December.

Hi Pam! Merry Christmas! I love your December plans and look forward to seeing what you decided to work on. Enjoy the holidays. See you in January!

I have that Walt Disney stitch! It has been sitting for a LOOOONG time. I may need to get it out!

Take a magnesium supplement at bedtime. It will help you sleep better. It is recommended for women after menopause. It helped me a lot.
I will investigate that. At this point I will try just about anything.
Merry Christmas.
