Hi Bob, any chance you can assist with a more detailed behind the scenes of the settings required in Resolve and the UltraStudio. When we connect everything as explained, we not getting the replays to play over the program as per your illustration, so we not sure if we have the correct seeting between all the different components, If I look at your fill and key inputs in the Atem,(camera 5+6) it shows a black screen, but in our atem we getting the feed from resolve. Please help.
The manual for this goes through a simple replay setup that doesn’t mention anything about ultra studio 4k. I even called Blackmagic support and they confirmed that you only need the ultra studio for stingers and it should still play replays without it. However, when I hit run, nothing happens on my program feed. I’ve got everything set up exactly as described in the manual. Can’t figure out why nothing comes across the program feed of my Atem. There is not much good info out there about this.
Good video. Just a side note. While broadcasting live, with the steps you had to take to go back with the mouse and choose the cameras etc, is just way too slow. Are there physical buttons on the Davinci Resolve Replay that take you back to the camera angles and physical buttons for each separate camera?
The Replay Editor can be used for video editing as well as live broadcasts. However if you need a control surface just for video editing, the Speed Editor is the way to go.
I love it! Thanks for this tutorial. I have a live-stream college pageant competition at the end of the month. I am going to try to use this for replays. Thanks for the great tutorial.
Please confirm this is how all the equipments are connected in this workflow: 1. SSD USB drive is connected to one of the USB-C ports on ATEM Mini Extreme ISO 2. Mac running Davinci Resolve and ATEM Mini Extreme ISO are both connected on the same LAN so that the Mac can access the SSD storage attached to the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO as a network drive 3. ATEM Mini Extreme ISO is connected to the Mac via the other USB-C port so that Davinci Resolve can get the MultiView output from ATEM Mini Extreme ISO as its live "Input View". How is this configured in Davinci Resolve and ATEM Mini Extreme ISO? 4. UltraStudio 4K Mini is connected to the Mac via Thunderbolt for Davinci Resolve to playback replay 5. UltraStudio 4K Mini is connected to one of the inputs on the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO as a replay channel
This only works if you have a SDI switcher to pass time sync, as well as a ultrastudio 4k mini for capturing the multiview and displaying it in resolve. Which means my hdmi extreme iso wont work. Have to buy sdi switcher and ultrastudio 4k mini to make this work.
nope, you lose the key/fill if you don't have separate inputs for them, you could just use an HDMI input without the key/fill. you get the TC over HDMI too. and you obviously need some sort of ultrastudio to get the replay video back out of Resolve, only the 4K mini supports the separate key/fill to get the nice overlays.
I am a little confused. Maybe someone can help me out. I am running an Atem Mini Extreme ISO, where all 8 Channels are used with my camera feeds. I am recording all 8 feeds on a 2TB SSD, which is connected via USB-C to my Atmen. So far so good. The Atem is conected via USB-C (2nd Port) to my Laptop. I am streaming via OBS Studio. 1. Do i have to connect the Davinci resolve replay via USB-C to my laptop? 2. How exactly will i bring the instant replay to air? Once i press the POI Button on the davinci resolve replay device and hit "run", will the Atem mini now play the instant replay instead of the program feed to OBS?

So, are you accessing the SSD from the local network? What file system should I format my SSD in?
So, what SSD are you using for ISOrecording and Play, and how is it connected? And can it be connected in some other way? Thank you.

Yes there is physical buttons on it, for each cameras u have
Are the Replay Editor units shipping out yet? I've had one on pre-order for over a month.
Can this also be used to edit videos like the speed editor ? Or is it for live broadcasts ?

Hi,
we have all working... "studio" version 19.0.3, ATEM ISO 9.5.1... but no button under "Workspace" named "Broadcast". What is wrong???

Can I colorgrade the growing files to send out to a 2nd monitor for a livestream?
Awesome & Thanks :)
How are you getting key/fill into the Extreme from the Ultrastudio? Are you using two SDI to HDMI converters?
There’s sdi atem
@@seanwan30 But that's not what they have in the video.
Surely is with converters
Yes two bidirectional 3g converters
can you set this up to run the stinger from the atems still store PNG sequence?
Can you add frames or bugs that label the replays as replays?
It would be good to be able to do it without the Speed editor, eg software control
Olá
Obrigado pelo tutorial
É possível fazer um tutorial de ligação do replay?
Hekp, can't do it. is this launch yet or not??
wow... this is a game changer.
I'm running the most current beta version (build 5) and I cannot find the broadcast workspace.
it’s not on the latest version 19 either

Ultrastudio HD Mini also has key and fill, I use it every week.

how do you get this running on a PC?
Your PC must have a 10gig Ethernet port and have at least 2 Hyperdeck Studio 4k Pros and a switcher for video handling
@@1SourceVideoare you sure about that the ATEM SDI extreme ISO only has a 1GB network port but it can feed video in real time.
