Graeme I am glad I didn’t hand my notice in 🤣🤣 From not knowing what we were doing that day to going to the races it was amazing … loved it! I went to the James Herriot museum and loved it. 💕
Thirsk looks interesting, not somewhere I have thought of going but now a possible future destination. Rally field looked great and free horse racing as well. Cheers K.
Thanks for your comments. 💕 We really weren’t sure if it would be for us but the free horse racing really made it for us. I loved seeing all the campers get dressed posh that were going in to the racing and the rest of us in the cheap seats had a blast! Loved it 💕
I wondered what it would be like staying there so thanks for the review. We’re at Boroughbridge CCC site and it’s lovely. The fact the sun’s shining makes a big difference. Off to Woodall Spa then Bolton Abbey so hopefully the sun stays out! Thanks for sharing.
Boroughbridge is supposed to be a lovely site. We haven’t been there yet although it is on the list. Woodall Spa sounds amazing especially with the sun out! Jeleous! If only I had won more at the races I could of forgot work for the day and joined you! 💕 Bolton Abbey is another beautiful place too! Enjoy 💕💕

Thirsk looks really interesting. Really different sort of place to visit. Town and museum looked nice. Well worth a visit if you’re a James Herriot fan. Good for Roxy too. Great idea to stay there if you like horse racing. Aw nice to be able cheer on your neighbour’s horse 🐴 😊🧙♂️
It wasn’t the experience we were expecting as it was very last minute to book it and I (David) debated whether we should or shouldn’t - so glad we did as we had a lovely evening - I think better than we would have had if was in the regular campsite rather than rally field. Will go back and try the main campsite at some point when the racing isn’t on but imagine it will be like a completely different site. We’ve been on a bit of a James Herriot one today which has been good but lots of driving as Rachel likes them. All the best, David & Rachel 👍

Thanks Tim. We both weren’t sure about it but had such a great time. The people were so nice and we had a great time shouting her horse on. It was a great Roxy walk! No water for her to swim in though! Sorry to disappoint re the 🍺 I’m sure he will make up for it on the next one 🤣
