    I'm not a microscope user but the information was useful. The day I haven't any other priority or nothing to buy I will remember you said here when buying one, because a microscope is a lot of fun.

      If you run out of gadgets to buy, a metallurgical microscope is a perfect sinkhole for your money! 😅 But it is a lot of fun. Right now, I am stitching a huge panorama of an IC I salvaged from an old PCB.

    Nice video thanks! I use the same setup (scope and camera) and I use the digital zoom to avoid the vignette visible. I have now a 2x optical element that perfectly does this now without zoom.

      Thank you! Do you use the same optical element that I showed in the video or found something else? I would be interested to try it, maybe it will work well for me too.

      @@CuriousScientist it’s a different one without aperture. If you find another one with only 1.5x this should suffice. 2x on a 40x objective is very high and it makes searching on the object difficult. Anyway I am happy with the result.
