Saw this in Atlanta and was so disappointed. The creepy puppets for the young Fionas and young Shrek and the creepier ventriloquist heads for Shrek's parents were just a start. Costumes and set designs were subpar. I wouldn't waste your money on this version.
No they decided that it was mean to make fun of conditions that people can’t control so they decided not to make him short anymore because it’s mean spirited. They replaced those jokes with jokes about him wearing pumps, so they’re still making fun of being short, makes no sense.

Having him portrayed as a regular sized dude, even a short one, isn't the way you address any concerns over it. They could've hired a little person if they didn't want to go the knees route, but also, the actor singing and dancing on his knees almost the entire show is a huge part of what makes Shrek the Musical so great.
Just got tickets I’m so excited, I don’t care if it’s bad this is my favorite musical of all Time! Also like this isn’t a Broadway production i don’t get why people are trying to hold it up to that standard

Is it too late to request a refund on my tickets? I saw a high school production almost 5+ years ago and it was higher quality than what I'm seeing here. Why the fuck are they charging almost $30 (on the low end) for this level of quality?!
