Well - we clearly we didn't see Lewis Travis happening!! Still keen to get your views folks!

Might work out well as a deep sitting midfielder who provides some protection. But, when he can play alongside Morsey then our style of playing out from the back will be altered somewhat. We will see... He also provides cover at fullback. A good signing.

Ipswich Town, Oasis and Blur....My own favourites! Do you also like The Stone Roses? I remember seeing Blur at the uni Colchester in, um, 199something when There's No Other Way came out. I do remember my first ITFC game though..1973 against Southampton and we won 2-0. Bodes well for our current position don't you think?

Max Bird would be my intuitive choice. He'd fit right in to the current Ipswich spirit.

I appreciate these little transfer vids. But on this one I can't say I really see any that IMO we would look to sign. Possibly the Man City fella.

What you describe as priorities describes what we have. What we do not have in midfield is pace. We could really do with someone able to lead rapid transition

Out of interest - who else in the Champ has what could be described as a pacey CM?

@@BlueMondayITFC Cant think of anyone offhand but l was really thinking of the demands of the Prem. We really got exposed for lack of pace against Leeds

    Jay Matete?
I can't see teams like Derby or Rotherham selling first-team players mid-season, but this is a much more appealing list than the strikers

Recovering from serious knee surgery by the look of it. No first team mins for Sunderland (or anyone) this season.

Brilliant signing players but how long does it take for them to fit in to a new system . I think if they sign too many might really mess up this team .

Surely part of the recruitment process - finding players who are easy to integrate?

Pace. Lacking in central midfield and central defence, some pace is needed.

Interesting thought - who else in the Champ has a pacey CM?

@@BlueMondayITFC Many (think Leeds, Leicester, even Norwich) - but, it's especially relevant to us due to our style of play; our centre back and right back (Burgess effectively moves to left back when we're attacking) are left horribly exposed many times per game. The fact remains, no pace in the four positions (centre halves and centre midfield) has cost us many goals this season - watch us against Leeds, for example... This is exasperated by the style of play where our right winger is barely in his own half, we play with two attacking 10s, and the left back (and to a lesser extent the right back) who have pace, are very attacking. With our style of play, we need more pace, deep in the centre - it's very obvious. Sadly, the ex-Man United centre back, who has got pace, hasn't really found his feet yet, but you still need cover in front of the two centrebacks. Maybe, the Blackburn signing will sit deeper and provide some protection and help out. You just can't have quick offensive players running past our centre midfielders then straight onto our slow centre backs - recipe for disaster with our attacking style.

@@jasonreeve3040 Was looking for names - can you really say that Winks, Ampadu, Kamara, Downes and Smallbone are "pacy"? Norwich play two AMs in CM so don't really count.

Don't need pace playing as a DCM does morsy have pace! Good fit in my opinion
