こんにちわ！ Could you detail what the “よ” at the end of おいしいよ or まずいよ is doing functionally? When would you leave “おいしい” by itself vs. adding “よ” at the end? If you were speaking formally (ending with おいしいです) is there any possibility for “よ” fitting in somewhere? ありがとうございます！
よ is used as a sentence ending particle to convey that you are providing new information to the listener. The assumption is always that you think they don't know what you are telling them already. It always comes at the end of the sentence, so with です it would be ですよ

I love these practice videos, thank you for uploading, Mai sensei I got 「どこ行く？」wrong becaue I thought it meant 'where will you go?', and 「何食べる」I got wrong for the same reason. I thought it meant 'what will you eat?'.

Ah~! Yes,「どこ行くの？」means 'where will you go?' and 「何食べるの？」means 'what will you eat?' It's just one letter difference... 😂
