Absolutely not the audio that I expected to get a part 2, but the first was great and after seeing the title I honestly can’t wait for this continuation 😆
What I think is interesting is that at the beginning, we overhear the news talking about an up-and-coming supermoon and we know from the moth listener that new human-animal hybrid species appear during full moons.
So what if, instead of entirely new beings manifesting overnight, instead preexisting beings manifested animalistic traits? This would explain both how our roommate grew cat ears and a tail despite previously being human and how large numbers of specimens of new species would appear overnight despite having been never previously observed or discovered even by other fellow hybrid species.
Good theory but remember Mitch and a few other listeners used to be just normal animals so it would be more like the moon is effecting both humans and animals. So the moon would give humans animal traits and make animals into humanoids. I don’t think this is the case for our roommate though it sounds like he angered a witch and got cursed.
Oh, don't wanna weigh in too heavily on speculation chats cos those are so so fun to see! But just to clarify if it helps, Mitch & other demihumans were never regular animals. If a demihuman or any other non-human begins to exist supernaturally rather than being born, it's usually more like ex nihilo.

Absolutely love this! Already loved the original and some of your other stories (we identify with moths so moth listener was very comforting). We had not expected a continuation of neko listener though. But here youve done it! And just, its soo good! Absolutely amazing! Reminds me a bit of jackson showing he was an incubus, but a different situation this time and i love it. Dont care wether he stays a neko (bad weekend afterall, not just a transformed one) or reverts to normal. Absolutely love this series and, should you make a continuation, I'll eagerly be continuing to listen to more.
