Ten grand is still low ball but not that bad if what was actually there was only worth 20 grand or was stolen and worth the now negative ten grand he put up for it. Without documentation anything that looks old is a very big risk to buy. It's why he was the only one to actually make an offer and why the offer was so low. It was also cool that dude was fine with it being a hidden camera bit once he realized what was going on.

Is that bike worth 100 grand, to the right person it is, but only because so much of it is original and or period to the bike. Now, everything on the thing could have been from different bikes from different years, it might not run, might not be able to ever run, at which point it would be worth twenty grand maybe if you parted it out at swap meets. My brother in law rides his bike everywhere. In January he left Kentucky, went to Texas, TN, AZ, here to NV, CA, CO and everywhere in between. He visited family everywhere. He ran out of gas once, a biker in a truck picked him and the bike up, got him gas, fed him and showed him around. Another time on the trip, he had a flat, same thing, the shop had to order the tire so the man that picked him up, put him up for two days, took him sight seeing and took care of him. I cant blame him for being uninformed as most Harley guys wouldnt know what a 1930's Harley is worth. To be clear, your not going to open a black book and find a value for something this old.
3rd Person: Totally Professional. He knows this bike is potentially a very valuable bike and wants to determine exactly what he is dealing with before making an offer. That last part didn't feel real, because why not just talk to him and clarify? It smells like there's a beef between the two of them, this 'Jake' and Sean.
Also, using a "100k" bike is too much, because like the last guy, they're going to smell something is up and it goes from earning a good payday to getting cops or feds involved and then you're down whatever you paid for it. There's a difference between trying to scam someone and getting the best deal you can and like it or not, people might even have reasons that necessitate they do it.
Point being... it's not that well thought through :)
Turning on the news you always see disheartening stories these days but it's nice to see that they're still honest people in the world🎉
Well the guy at Hooligans is a clown and a creep. What a joke and definitely not a bike guy.
I feel like those dudes at Hooligan were way too eager to buy that bike for 10g. They knew something…..
I love the AI images with the girls standing in the car backwards
the ai art is so bad... her giant upper lip in the first shot lol
and the hood lifting up behind the motor
What makes you like it so much? Just curious.
@@rhmonizWhat,? That's what my girlfriend's lips look like.
The first girl was good and did right buy them, but the last guy is a real one. Middle guy 100% knew and couldn’t do the $10k deal quick enough, very shady. Moonshine completely stepped up. Willing to take the bike in, research it and be fair to her. Also tried to protect Sean when he suspected it was stolen. Just wish Sean had come clean and not rushed her out of there.
Wasting peoples time when you don't intend to genuinely sell
with this kind of entrapment bullshit IMO.👎
Oh please, because dealerships are known for being such upstanding individuals...
@michelle_m4446 They're Decent hard working people in my area.
Besides, most current sales staff are lucky to know what an "evo" is, now a"shovelhead", "knuckle" or "panhead" value...
Just wasting their time.
I wouldn't pay 2cents to watch this video😉
@@tonydanzl good thing you didn’t have to
@@tonydanzlyou just watched it for free😂😂😂
@@billwhite9886 only the first few minutes😉
You find out if they will lowball or not within the first couple minutes. Why waste so many people's time and not just come out, shake their hand and say sorry we're taking a video, here is a couple bucks for wasting your time, giving us content and trying to do the right thing.
That harley dealer going the extra mile. Stand up dealership!
I would never rip anyone off but I would be pissed if you tried to set me up
you know damn well that second shop guy knew exactly what he was doing
thx for doing this im in tn and i now know to never shop there
Promote the first dealership with the woman that helped the girls out. Honesty should be rewarded!
I cant believe how dumb some of so called techs at Harley dealerships are. Old Harleys are worth much more than new. Frankly, I think Panhead was best Harley ever built
@@johnhart125 they’ve been brainwashed by HD corporate to think that the CVO is the most expensive bike on the planet and therefore the best
Not all HD techs .. just the newer Gen .. retired HD tech of 25 yrs .. ALL of us knew our sht except for the new guys who need a computer to fix anything
"women are stereotyped in this industry"
" I know, that terrible."
"Ok let's film the girls sending emojis and acting like they can't drive."
Sean, you should have just driven up on that scene at Moonshine. Candid camera rides again.
I can’t believe the first place didn’t jump on it. Wow. They were honest though. Support that place.
These AI pictures are very unsettling. Not as unsettling as that cardboard cutout of Sean, though. xD
This story and bike is so similar to our actual story of how a thief probably passed a 1938 Harley that was owned and restored by my Grandfather since 1940’s, in Oklahoma. After he passed my Uncle took it to his place in Atlanta, Georgia area, where someone thought they needed it worse than our family.
I helped Grandpa restore it and would love to get it back, but we never had any luck finding it again. It was restored back to as close to original as he could remember and traveled the United States to gather parts for it. Frame was black with red tank , there was a couple things that made it a little unique if we ever got the chance to find it again. I always envisioned riding it and displaying it with the 1937 farm pickup , which I have and working on restoring now.
Mike Wuff won't be interested unless it comes with some extremely rare oil cans and rusty signs. 😅
He rides Indians.
Funny thing is I just got back into bass tournament fishing this year since 1993. Fishing a lake in northern Indiana as a non-boater I witnessed my partner catch two 3 pounders back to back using a KVD 1.0 sexy shad crank bait in 48 degree stained 5 foot water. Now I have a deep diver in sexy shad color and I've never caught anything on it as well. I met my fishing partner at his place and we drove to the lake together. When we got back from the tournament, he wanted to show me how he made some homemade baits. I noticed he had some lures still in their packaging on a pegboard hook that he had been successful with. To my surprise, he had 5 packages of those KVD 1.0 in sexy shad. He touted how much success he's personally had with them. I guess he can say it's his confidence bait. I've personally had more success with a Bandit 200 splatterback. By the way, he won that tournament and all but one this season and is the club's top point leader and he just won the MLF bass tournament on the Detroit River.
AI goofy graphics again! Guy at 1:41 has 6 fingers - ditch AI, it isn't helping.
Surprised the "Techs" dont know the true designation for the knuckle-head tbh. "yeah issa knucklehead" lol
The girls did great, fully committed 😁😁
Good for the Bumpus lady. Her honesty just brought in a lot of business.
lowballing is the american way
Actually... haggling is the norm and customary in a lot of countries, Not the U.S.
@@Ty-bz7zx it the norm for my "older" generation
The car in the story is so unique, you sit in it backwards, and the hood levitates, while stowing it behind the engine 😂
Now reverse it..If you found that bike in a barn and they didn't need it and just wanted to sell it ..Would you pay them the 60 grand what it's worth or would you try and get a deal
Honestly, it depends on the seller. I would never purchase this motorcycle for myself but I would like to think that I would point them in the right direction if they were truly clueless.
I have also dealt with a few real a-holes when buying things and I would have no problem taking advantage of them.
@sociopathmercenary OH yeah definitely I get that ..There is definitely a difference from getting a good deal and taking advantage of someone.
@@donpugh8099there is definitely a different onus on a dealer vs an average Joe though. The person who knows exactly what it is and it’s worth is very different to a friend who doesn’t and would be taking a huge risk and would have to do a ton of research. Provided the seller isn’t an a hole, the righteous thing to do would be to then share some of the profit with them.
Idk how to text like a girl . "Puts on false bravado" i text like a man . Thats gotta be the least manly thing ive ever heard
About 20/30 years ago in Los Angeles a lady was clearing out her father's garage who had recently passed..it was packed with stuff/junk..under all of it was a old car..she called the junkyard and said she wanted it gone..the tow truck from the junkyard showed up and payed her $100 bucks and took the old car..it was all over the news..the father had worked as a security guard in the 60"s for a rockstar..and this Rockstar had purchased 1 of the ford GT 40's that had dominated Europe when ford beat Ferrari in Europe..only a few survived the European circuit..he bought it and drove it as his personal car..he got in so much trouble with tickets and lost his driver's license doing 200 mph in Los Angeles freeways that he gave the car to his security guard who put it in his garage..ya.. that was the car she sold for 100 bucks...the junkyard put it for sale for 1 million..she sued them but was out of luck..she sold it fair and square..
Are you think of the Phil Spector Shelby Daytona? Kind of a similar story.
It was a Ford GT 40..I remember that much..
The first sales lady is an awesome! Was knowledgeable and was trying to help her not get scammed
I also assume the the person who doesn't know what the bike is worth vs you will strap the bike down differently.
Yes that was deliberate
I'm a mechanic here in Tennessee. I work next to the Hooligan you visited. I remember seeing a Mercedes Van parked at my work a few weeks ago and now I know why. I was watching this video and saw Hooligan and I was like wait a minute, this has to be the one next to my work and then next thing I know the video skips to you sitting in your van PARKED AT MY WORK. You visited my work and didn't come in to say hi and I will say I'm disappointed 😂
p.s you may not think Jamie as a friend but you really should .....
1st lady was great! 2nd guy would have 100% railroaded them for a steal of a deal... 3rd guy uses "my buddy" way too much, especially when you said you guys have barely met...
Did they call Mike Wolfe?
Yes. But he only wanted oil cans 😢.
