A fair review, but I feel like we need to call it like it is and move on: Legacy is a fundamentally flawed design that (hopefully) will be rectified in a revised model. Save your $$$ for the inevitable "fixed" version to follow.
You probably dont give a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies on Instaflixxer. Been streaming with my brother recently :)
Thanks for your great and honest review. I'm 5'7" so I decided to order this cabinet from Walmart today. I'm going to put clear tape on the left side of the deck ledge for protection.
Thinking about upgrading my Final Fight Cabinet to this. I didn't realize it had all those games on it too... Don't really like the lack of viewing angle, but this has by far the best capcom game line up for me...love the late 80s early 90s era.
awesome review!!! I really don’t have a problem with the ledges....a lot of players play resting on the ledge...it’s weird I guess the way i play I’m straight on so I’m lucky......overall really really happy with this cab!
Excellent review! Presented the pros and cons while expressing your opinions in a way to where it was clear that they were your opinions. Even though you said you can't fully recommend it, the review was backed by knowledgeable points and not emotions so the viewer can weigh the options and decide for themselves.
I'm here with the same question. If it's an emulator with arcade roms then we will have all the world warrior glitches but if these are the arcade stadium builds then it won't have the glitches
you DONT have to rest your hand on the edge. i just got the game/machine and i absolutely love it and i dont get your hand problem... try Not throwing your hand off the joystick after your moves. anywho, the packaging was insanely secure to prevent damage while shipping and the assembly was stupid easy. im new to your videos and i like them but if you have to lay your wrist on the side of your machine... eesh
It's a beautiful cab. Not perfect. Nothing is. But hours ago had family come over and they went straight to the cab. It really gets people's attention when they walk into the home.
@@MichaelBtheGameGenie Pong Table is awesome! It’s much nicer than I was expecting and been playing it just about every day since I got it. Highly recommend it if it becomes available in Canada!
I wonder if you raise the game up maybe 3 more inches if that would help with the line of sight im 6'1 and my midway legacy cab suppose to be here tomorrow
I always liked Street Fighter casually so I wasn’t interested in this cab. Now that I know it has Final Fight I want it so bad! The art on this cab is so much better than the Final Fight one too.
I actually love my capcom legacy cabinet, I had it delivered to me around the end of March, I knew I was gonna love it the min I saw it online, I mean sure I could've gotten the cocktail cabinet, but I wasn't digging the split screen and the controls weren't that responsive, but the legacy cabinet had the same feeling to me when playing SF2 world warrior, dispite that it didn't have Wifi, I still love it, but my one complaint is that on the control panel, is that the artwork should've been SF2 world warrior, not Champion edition!
Nice video Michael B. I really like the games list and look of the cab. I'm waiting to see if Arcade1up addresses any of the issues going forward when manufacturing another round of these. Hopefully they do a new and improved wave correcting the issues. I've seen videos with fixes but I feel like they should consider doing this themselves. Until then I think that I'm going to hold off.
Agree with all you said Games are great and art looks fantastic Idk they would not adjust marquee for line of site and why the control deck wouldn’t be flat to increase play area, those are my 2 complaints and maybe there will be a mod for the deck I really just want the side of the controls to be open for comfort and it would make play easier I can deal with the marquee with the stool I got Control deck just bothers me when I do a full play through with sfII Shouldn’t change what isn’t broken
Great video man. I appreciate how you really lay out the pros and the cons. I really wanted to grab one of these, but the line of sight issue is pretty much a deal breaker for me. One of the big reasons I made my little home arcade was to have friends over to share it with. Seems this would be fine for my kids and their friends, but it doesn't sound like a good fit for having my friends over to play. It really is puzzling how these things get play tested and come out with these kind of issues. Either they are not play tested, they are play tested by the wrong people, or they just don't listen to the feedback from the testers. Early renders of some of this new style of cabinet had the marquee out further than it is now without the wings. Notably, I think the Killer Instinct cabinet looked that way. I am guessing they tested it with the marquee all the way out and got complaints. This recessed design was probably their compromise and they called it good enough.
@@emansfvera interesting, so I should listen to your review instead? I actually ended up getting one of these, and even for me it clipped part of the screen. I ended up putting it on a stand for a mini fridge and that helped by raising a few inches. Great for you that it doesn't cause you a problem, but it's pretty egotistical to think that since it doesn't for you, everyone else is wrong.
@Hold My Beverage I'm just saying bro, I get tired of hearing waaah they're too small, two people can't play? Yeah they can, they just hear and regurgitate what people say online. Put it this way, if you knew it was an issue and you still bought it, what does that make you?
@@emansfvera got it on a stupidly cheap deal so I took a chance on it because of people saying stuff like you. There is no way that the screen is not partially obstructed while you are playing this unless you are sitting on a stool, standing way back, or hunched over. If you are playing two player, the wings are going to obstruct some of it too. Putting something under it to raise it helped. So back to your question of what it makes me since I bought one, it makes me a fool for thinking people like you might be right.
hi there michael just a shout out did you do any modifications to raise the control deck or put more height in the riser so you can stand more comfortably otherwise awesome job on the reuiew top quality keep on gaming michael !!!
I’m 6’1”. These games hurt my back. Plus a 17” screen!? Why waste your money? I’m going to have the most bad ass arcade game machine you ever seen. Building it myself.
What goes back to the same thing I've been saying all along V just don't give a shitThey have everybody's money so they really don't care Which is one of the reasons I stop collecting them in sold everything to go to real arcade cabarets
Man I just discovered this legacy cab and would definately buy one if they were to do a revised model with a flush control board, , slanted screen and better marquee placement. I know there are mods but those make the price almost double to something that could have been fixed on the original product. Hope to see a new version of this (and other) legacy cabs.
I love this cabinet it has one of my favorite designs but the down fall to me is the lack of online which is why i never bought it. But if this had online it would be worth every cent. Is there any way to move the street fighter big blue pcb parts board or whatever to this and maybe we could have online play ???? Somebody should try this. Its worth a shot.
Hi everyone. Just wanted to see if someone can verify something about the street fighter legacy cab. Is the marquee attachment suppose to cut off some of the border of the front screen border panel? Mine cuts off honda ryu and some of the other characters is it supposed to lay that low? Thanks
Why do they make these so small I understand the cost and space issue but really gotta get that control deck bigger so two full size people can play at same time without squishing
line of sight is a deal breaker, also not enough space between p1 and p2 controllers. It seems its not made for adults. Otherwise its a beautiful cabinet.
5:54 For some reason nobody sells light blue concave buttons on the internet anywhere. concave buttons in general are very limited in color selection somebody needs to fix this.
I’m considering picking this up since I don’t have a Street Fighter 2 cabinet yet, and jerry-rigging a few spray-painted boards underneath to add some height. I’m concerned about the screen angle though- assuming your height is ideal, are the screens too vertical? Thanks for any input!
I wish they made the Marquee like the Stars Wars cab. The little bit of wing on it and screen slant is fine and can style is great. And left the Control deck like wave 1 street fighter with the wider deck. Game selection is fine. I'm bummed... and can't get it even at $400. Maybe Legacy wave 2. Thanks.
Yeah, the Marquee doesn't need to be slanted but in the right place with the heavily slanted screen and the long speaker panel like on star wars would do the trick
These arcade1up machines really suck trying to squeeze two players in there. If you solo play, it's fine, but not two player. You have to be offset to make room for each other and that just makes for an unpleasant multiplayer experience imo.

How did Justin Wong let this control panel pass inspection?
