  • Are MLB Pitchers Getting Too Good at Pitching?
In this video, we explore one of the hottest topics in baseball: Are MLB pitchers becoming too dominant? With strikeouts at an all-time high and batting averages plunging, it’s clear that the game is shifting in favor of pitchers. We’ll dive into the velocity revolution, where fastballs now regularly clock in at over 100 mph, and the spin rate revolution, which has transformed how pitchers approach the game, making even the slowest pitches harder to hit.
We also examine the cost of this dominance, including the rise in Tommy John surgeries and other injuries, as pitchers push their bodies to the limit. The video tackles the impact on hitters, who are struggling to keep up, and the potential long-term effects on the fan experience, as the action on the field becomes more pitcher-centric. Finally, we discuss possible solutions, from lowering the mound to implementing new rules aimed at balancing offense and defense.
Is this evolution of pitching improving the game, or is it turning America's pastime into a battle of strikeouts and injuries? Find out in this in-depth analysis of modern MLB pitching.

feel like this is a different version of the steroid era. It’s like pitchers were meant to shine now because of the hitters that shined during the steroid era. Sure there were good pitchers during the steroid era, but you could say the same with hitters now facing modern pitching.
