I remember first hearing this song in St. Louis not on KSHE but on KWK who for a short time seemed to play it a few times a day. Of course, KWK is gone now but this song still shows up from time to time on the Sunday morning classics show on KSHE. When I hear it it reminds me of an incident I once had with a friend shortly after the song came out. My friend insisted one day after hearing it on the radio that it was April Wine. At the time I didn't know who did the song, but I was sure it was not April Wine. I was about 15 at the time and we argued until we almost got into a fist fight. I guess that's what happens when teenagers get together and start drinking beer. I am still good friends with that guy and once a year we get together and go on a fishing trip. On our last trip I played this song on my i-pod and we both had a good laugh over the argument we had as kids. Nothing can bring back memories like a great old song! I always enjoy this song every time I hear it!

Can't imagine there are 3 people out there that gave this a THUMBS DOWN! Only knew the main lyrics all these years, after listening to all the words, wish I wrote it! Amazing all round song!!
One of the great K-She classics i grew up with as a teenager in STL in the '70's--was a listener from the time i discovered K-She in 1970--altho i don't live in STL anymore,i still listen to K-She whenever i'm in town.
I wish K-SHE would play these classic rock songs everyday instead of just Sunday morning. They lean more to the Metal or Grunge music nowadays. I've been a K-SHE listener since 1976.
KQRS in Minneapolis used to play this song in the early 80's. Back then it was impossible to get in the stores so ya had to wait until ya heard it on the air, which was usually only once or twice a month. I finally found someone selling the CD. I scooped it up right away.
did anybody else have their shirts get holes in them from their sweet meat belt buckle? I remember in high school everyone having two holes at the bottom of their shirt from sweet meats ears.
I sure wish KSHE single was stronger thees days. It’s a bummer I can hardly toon them in. Back in the 80 I never had a problem toning in KSHE it sucks!
Being from Collinsville, I suffer from "Fuckin' A Disease." Once infected, there usually are no debilitating side effects. But hearing songs like this will cause the occasional flare-ups. Like the urge to drive a Trans-Am with no muffler and only primer., and to kick someone's ass for no real reason.
Got me and MANY others thru USAF basic training in Texas 1980..........................years later i became a pal of this TRUE axe Legend !...Thanks for the music and good will Dear Ray ! Bless You always.......
