I’m deaf I would love to have a dog to help me cus I’m always scared to go out myself so I do wish to get a dog to help me to give me confidence! Also happiness
@@astreeter1022 How is this "unspeakable"? Huskies have a well-established history of being extremely loyal to an owner who treats them well, and are almost never mean animals. Congratulations on what must be an extremely rewarding and worthwhile career!
I am now 59 and have been deaf in my left ear since I was 6. I did have a dog that alerted me and kept me company but I moved and never thought I could bring him. I can not afford 300. deposit for a dog. I really need one to help me. I wouldn't hear at night if someone tried to break in or the fire alarm. What should I do? I am on medicare and social security.
I am hard of hearing I wear 2 hearing aids going deaf I wanted to train my husky to be a hearing dog but was told husky are two hyper for that job and I was told my state don’t have hearing dogs for us deaf and hard of hearing people
Do you have to be a specific age to have a hearing dog? I've been completely deaf in both ears ever since I was 3/4. Now I am 13 going on 14 in a couple months.
Yes, I can barely hear what you are saynig in the vedoe now. I had a dog that would jump on me to alert me to my alarm the morning/ She would jump on me untill I got up for the morning for the day, She would up on me abt three time at a times to wake me up.
Hectic. Imagine going to an airport and not being able to communicate with anyone because they can’t hear you. You’d have to learn ASL or how to read lips. It’s extremely stressful because most people don’t understand how to handle situations with deaf people simply because they weren’t trained to.
If your lack of hearing is impacting your day to day life then yes. Since you can hear from the other ear technically you can heart things like alarms and people calling for you, but if it ever gets worse then you should consider it. Maybe ask your parents. Service dogs are expensive, but you can also train your own, but what you don’t spend in money you spend in a lot of hard work. Training takes months, but definitely still do able.

If you’re able to hear then you should watch this without audio.
Can I imagine what it's like to live in a world of silence?
Peaceful

Not weeks and weeks. More like Months and Months.
