Fantastic question. I might have a small video insert in between the practice and performance video part. My goal for both videos is to have good watch time relative to the content. I looked through my analytics and saw that the most engaged views came from the reaction portions. While the analysis portion still had good retention, it wasn't as high as the reaction portion. this lead me to believe that the videos would have a higher percentage of retention if they were separated.

I wish the dance practice reaction and analysis were grouped together, with the performance reaction separate, but as one of the people who primarily enjoys these videos for including the analysis, I'm probably biased. It's just nice to combine initial reaction and analysis bc it shows that yes, you're gonna nitpick and be tough of them (just as they/their choreographer would be) but _first_ you're going to appreciate their hard work. To me, the early videos came off more harsh for not having that initial reaction.
hi hi. appreciate you commenting on all the other videos from the previous format. I honestly would love to keep the original format too. but my goal is also to grow the channel and have it seen by more people, and youtube likes great audience retention and watch time. While I loved the old format, the reaction portion had the highest retention and the analysis with so-so retention, causing the overall percentage to be average. my goal with separating both is to allow each "phase" so-to-speak to shine. however, i do appreciate the feedback and makes me think that I should add reminders on both videos to watch either the reaction or the analysis.
