i felt like after killaseason, it went downhill. '06 was Cam's top of the pinnacle, crumbled shortly after that. But between like '02-'06 Cam was on top of the rap game hard. Great 4 year run!
Dank Dank because by that time the fans & media started shitting on cam because all the drama he was caught up in...I thought it was a good follow up to killa season.......
***** signed but how long it take for Beans to get really put on? His first 3-4 years all he did was features for everyone else and then Jay stole the Dynasty album from them. It was supposed to be the rest of them going in with moderate Jay-Z contributions but it turned into Jay-Z featuring the Roc-La-Familia
Beans at his prime > Jay Cam at his prime > Jay One thing about Hov though he been the most consistent. The others got bored of rap and focus more on business street shit or jail

Prime Cam, being his last record on Def Jam led to it being marketed poorly. All fans of his "nursery rhyme multi's" flow knows Killa went balls out on this one (no homo). How this hasn't gone 4X platinum at that time still confuses me. This thing was decked with hits: Killa Cam, Family Ties, Get 'Em Girls, and even pop hits like Girls, Shake, Down and Out. Production was on point with Kanye, Heatmakerz, and Skitzo. This should have out sold "Come Home With Me" if it was marketed correctly. I feel like Cam was disappointed with the fans at the turn out of the album sales which shows on "Crime Pays." Purple Haze, one of the last classic hip hop albums!
I notice he never mentions Jay-Z in this interview when he's shoutting out all the people in Roc A Fella and Def Jam. I can see their beef goes way back.
I was wondering the same. TH-cam probably took it down some years ago because I used to watch it. I remember he was rapping over the S.A.N.T.A.N.A. instrumental.
@@juliusjujusurratt9568 This started because of Jay. Just Blaze gave him the "Izzo" beat that was originally for Cam. So Blaze turned around and made another beat. Which turned to be "Oh Boy". And because it did numbers, Jay wanted to get on it and surprised Cam with his verse. But Cam thought it was trash and made Guru erase the verse.
