Noticed a misplay in the duel between Rescue-ACE and Branded. They had summoned Sanctifire which had gotten destroyed however, it has an effect to tribute 4 monsters on the field. 2 in the Extra Monster zones and 2 in the Main Monster zones. It doesn't even need a monster in your Main Monster zone as long as you have one in the Extra Monster zone. They could have used Granguignol or the one it summoned to tribute the Apollousa and the Goddess to come back. It's like Lubellion tribute from the GY I'm pretty sure so Goddess wouldn't be able to negate. As a Branded player that recently discovered this second effect during a tournament I wanted to share it. Almsot no one is aware Sanctifire can be used for other things other than Gimmick Puppet lock.
In fairness to the hero player, it probably wasn't his opponent hard-opening the spell that terrified him, it was them hard-opening Ash/bonfire, which is way more likely. If they opened ash, even if he draw-phase darklawed, they could just ash-->Poplar-->Subversion without losing any of their monsters to the banished zone. Granted, making Darklaw as early as possible was still the correct play. Not only did it autowin if they DIDN'T open ash, but it would give you one chance to blind-snipe the subversion when they tried to add it to their hand, which is better than losing to it for sure... but between nerves and the heat of the moment, I can at least see why they misplayed.
@@keyyt3492really? I find the deck to be extremely consistent, the tour guide combo, sharvara+backrow, Aruha+backrow, rakea+backrow, and dark contract+backrow are all full combo

That’s because they have so much room for handtraps since their in engine is so small yet consistent. Basically all of their normal summons are a one card combo.

It's not the mirrorjade in the backrow that does the restricting it's the new mirrorjade that's about to be summoned. It sees that you already control a mirrorjade therefore it doesn't allow you to summon it. Makes sense?

Hello, im the branded player o/. So, in game 2, my ingame timer got way too low, so i had to pass turn without continuing my plays. Last game sadly i lost to time on the round and had to surrender.
Braned player take look at mysterion the dragon crown it will help you allot in this format specially against snake eyes or decks running allot of cards with the same type it has it down falls but it good to out multiple cards with the same type and you guys usually have a spellcaster dragon the field most of the times🙏🏿🙏🏿
If you want to see stupid people thinking that they are smart just watch the SE mirror match. Twitch laughing about the player until he just won the match with a perfect game, lol
Engaging mirror my ass. If you don't open Kelbek or get a good Havnis mill(or someone dumb enough to use the Ishizus to mill in the mirror) you just get hit by Dweller on top of a potential negate board of Drago/Rulk & Sulliek/Cryme + Barrone/Apo/Savage and some GY disruptions in case you opened Imperm. And the Kashtira cards just made it even easier to get to an oppressive board going first thanks to Fenrir and Kashtear. Kashtira on Diablosis + Ariseheart is the only unrelated thing(other Tear or Ishizu builds WERE actually viable though, just less popular)that could keep up with this nonsense, but it was so toxic it got rightly banned almost immediately, so everyone still thinks the sacky gamba mill is the stronger deck when it can't even play around Shifter reliably and could get its turn ended by an Imperm of all things, getting itself sacked at the dumbest moments and promoting other toxic anti-GY nonsense that killed the game for a while because of that one exploit everyone kept trying to abuse. This is why you can't design broken play styles around a crippling weakness that people can be tempted to exploit(even if they usually failed with it that didn't stop them from ruining the format by trying). Despite what I said, I don't hate Tear for being busted, and every mirror is going to be inherently sacky with most matchups into itself being FAR less one sided(due mainly to the prevalence of greedy millers though), but even Snake-Eyes didn't encourage such a level of Shifter abuse and GY hate that made the format almost unplayable. Heck, the Stun innovations coming out now are actually almost entertaining to see in comparison.
snake eye wins tons of tournaments. however, meta weekly has tons of dedicated players hungry for more, players dedicated to winning with their deck, who have lots more experience than most snake eye players thinking they can win just bc of snake eye. not a fault on snake eye, just a testament to the strength of determination. snake eye also has tooons of room for misplay tbh.
Wah wah wah, only 8 summons is bad! I can't summon 50+ times to get my 17 interruptions out! That's not intuitive! Waaaaah!
