This performance by Sydnie is charged, I would say, with all the emotion of a long-held personal dream repeatedly thwarted by setback and disappointment. It is an enthralling performance that evokes tears and tingles no matter how many times I watch and listen. Thank you so much for discovering Sydnie’s unique performance and for reacting so enthusiastically to it. 🥲👏
Thank you for reacting to this, she has quickly become one of my favorites. Make sure you catch her semi-final and finals performances as well. Her rendition of "MY WAY" will blow your mind.
It felt like she was singing about her life, not just a number from a musical. Anyone who didn't fall in love with Sydnie has a harder heart than I do.
Excellent reaction! Her next two songs are just as, if not even more, impressive as Tomorrow. Her version of My Way is mind blowing and her cover of Over the Rainbow locks her in as one of the greatest singers of this generation.
We can tell this is your first time hearing this by the way you reacted to her dropping your soul back down into your body on that last shift from power to the soft finish....when she sings she transports the listener to another place and it's a beautiful place to find yourself....how she isn't already a huge star is baffling to me...that away at the end was like an "amen"....Karl from eastern Canada👍👍👍
Welcome to the Sydnie Christmas fan club: this club is constantly growing bigger and bigger! She is the complete package, and her other songs on BGT will bowl you over, even more so. This is actually her touch on a cover by Marisha Wallace, from 4 years ago in the midst of the pandemic. "My Way", in the semi-final, is her own cover, prepared with the BGT voice coach whom she is now taking private sessions with. "Over the Rainbow" is her "kiss" on Loren Allred's cover from the AGT Fantasy League, recently: Sydnie at first declined to sing her favourite singer's song when the BGT offered it to her after the semi-final, with three days to prepare a song: Loren personally sent her a video message encouraging her to sing it and wishing her God speed. Loren also posted on Sydnie's facebook post of the BGT video that it is now "our" song. This is but the beginning: Sydnie comes across your path before too long.
She is so amazing the way she sings and brings the emotion of the song out. Have to see her other two performances. Believe it or not she even did better
Sydnie is a breath of fresh air who deserves this divine break. She’s humble, funny and a beautiful person inside and out. Simon mentioned how she doesn’t have an ego at all and I agree. Let’s AV it!
Thanks for reacting to Sydnie, she is a special person and talent! Please react to Angelina Jordan, she has been singing in a microphone since age 18 months, won Norway's Got Talent at age 8, got a golden buzzer on America's Got Talent The Champions in 2020 at age 13, and Headlined her own show in Las Vegas this year at age 18! Amazing reaction to an amazing singer - she has my jaw on the floor every time she performs. Also your voice is beautiful having never heard it before!
Sydney revealed in an interview that this song version was first done by Maisha Wallace during the COVID pandemic. But I agree with you, Sydney brought the song into an adult version and Annie has grown up🎉❤❤
All her theatre experience has paid off l. Those years of performing on and off prepared her for this. Now there is nothing stopping her from her dreams. Can't wait to see what she does next. This rendition was from Marisha Wallace she song this for a fund raiser during covid. Obviously made it her own. She gave credit to her in an interview. It's identical just sing differently by Sydnie which was 🔥
My reaction is much like yours. It was grown up. It’s not tomorrow is “just a day away”. It’s that tomorrow is always a day away! Big difference. We all have tomorrow to look forward to. Enjoy it!
Your comments are brilliant and you saying the song has "grown up" is totally accurate. She has the voice, the looks and thanks to "let's ave it" even her own catchphrase and I wish that she gets all that she deserves!
Of all the disciplines of the art of music, dynamics is number one in effecting the emotions of the listeners. This artist seems to know this. And importantly, knows exactly how to execute it.
You can expect Sydnie to sing a lot of old songs that she believes are being left behind. She will put her own”kiss” on all the songs but she said that’s what she’d like to do.
Following her career, and will buy her album when it comes out. I'm at least following her career on the uploads to Spotify. Yes she has previous experience to this performance. Like Starlight Express and cruise ships. There's been so much critical comments on this that it annoys me. She never truly had the break she needed from her previous performances. I am one of the people that believe shows like this should give people that break. Haters will always be haters. She said her version of the song is taken from a version of Marisha Wallace and not her own. Who gives a damn. For me I think she's simply fantastic ❤.
It is grown up, but in a different manner than most reactors and commenters seem to see it. Notice the change from "only" in the original to "always" in Sydnie's version. Notice further how her delivery changes in the last stanza; up to that point, the song could still be viewed as a paean to optimism, even with "always" in there. But her facial expression drops, her volume drops, her posture changes, and the final phrase and pause confirms the negativity of the message. If you know her backstory, then the negativity is quite understandable, as she has been auditioning for many years with very limited success in the musical theater, rejection after rejection. She even tried BGT several earlier times, but backed out because she has admitted low self-esteem issues. BGT this time was her last ditch effort to have a musical career, and she doesn't have much faith in BGT either. Then notice her reaction at the end of Tomorrow to the audience's enthusiasm, so completely surprised, and to the Golden Buzzer, physically shocked. So why no success in musical theater? Because no one ever heard HER voice--the musical director, director, producers heard what they predetermined they wanted for the character she was auditioning for. In fact, even in Tomorrow, she is somewhat restrained, still not trusting full the audience and judges. However, in My Way, she bursts forth with HER full voice, so melodic and powerful, and I hope this voice will continue to be exhibited on the concert stage, where she belongs with Celine, Barbra, Elvis..., never to return to musical theater.
"Tomorrow grew up" wow. What a perfect comment you made . Excellence reaction as always. ♥️

She is just beyond words, absolutely love everything about her.
It chockes me up every time I hear it. Thank you so much.

Sydnie calls changing a song “putting her own kiss on it.” She is a generational singer. She is magic.

Great job by both You & Sydnie.
Thank you!

You know I've watched several vids on this and nobody says how beautiful she is.
Great review, your passion for the love of music really comes through.
Thank you for this reaction. She's definitely unique among all music aritists I've heard and watched.

She’s amazing. I was rooting for her the first time I heard it. You should listen to her sing My Way and Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

“Annie grew up”. Says it all. Great rendition that will become the new standard.
Nice reaction. I too love that part that starts at 5:38
Sydnie doesn't sing a song - she becomes the song and the song becomes her. They become one unit. That's why her performances feel so personal.
would love to see your reaction to her next two performances...they show a very different side of her talent!!!
Love your reactions!
That just her first addition look at the semi and the final she will blue your mind away excellent.
*Go watch her semifinals...it is mind-blowing*
Every song she had during the talent show . Went from slow to bigger then snooze you with the high note finally leaving you wanting more and more
You can expect Sydnie to sing a lot of old songs that she believes are being left behind. She will put her own”kiss” on all the songs but she said that’s what she’d like to do.
Heard Streisand sing this- no feeling thus no goosebumps so back to Sydnie for 50th time
Sydney has such a great theatrical voice. Later on she took and improved on a Frank Sinatra song. Just such exeptial range.
Three months ago she was a surprise, now, on Nov 3 she will be on the Hollywood Bowl for David Foster’s 75th birthday !!!!!
You gotta do her version of my way by frank sinatra

never a bore listening to Sydnei
Hi Natalia,
can you react to Sydnie Christmas' versions of My Way and Over the Rainbow as well?
TY, Enrico
You seriously need to listen to sidnies semi final of my way also the final of over the rainbowshe is amazing
You also notice that she changed the phrase "only" a day away to "always" a day away
Actually the original song by Shirley Temple in 1932 I think, the phrase was “always a day away”. Someone along the way changed it to “one a day away”
@@gene6717 Shirley Temple did not sing Tomorrow, but I don't know about the lyrics changing. I always thought it was "only" a day away.

Please check out her next song My Way incredible!!!!!!
Christmas is her last name!
She was joking about her middle name....
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍🏻
Your comment is funny. You said this song can't show off her vocals. Now what do you think?
Please, if you can, watch. Richard Goodall Receives The GOLDEN BUZZER For "Don't Stop Believin'"
Her next 2 songs will knock you off your chair.
Wait..you haven't seen/heard Streisand cover this song???
