I have all three major issues: pain (after playing, left elbow - yay me), need to relax, and negative thinking. The “I’m never good enough” script is so disruptive. Hoping to see a AT practitioner soon!!! Thanks for the great video.
Hi Pam, sorry I never saw your comment until now! :( Were you ever able to see an AT teacher and resolve your problem? If not, I would love to help you with all of the above. Feel free to email me at Jennifer@ArtofFreedom.me for more info and/or a personal consultation.
My heart is palpitating... but at the bottom of my ribcage! I'm sitting on my butt with my legs on the chair like a frog... which is very comfortable. I notice ease in my hands. And I'd love to have a technique I could use anytime!

#jennifer froig Francoli: hi my TH-cam name is winter vanilla and I'm from Nigeria. So pronouncing my first name would be kinda difficult for you guys since my name is mentioned with the use of Igbo accent. I'm a music student and I concluded with my exams on Monday. My instrument is the violin and a keyboard. Few days ago, I met with one of my lecturers to know if there's anything that could help me with my violin and he recommended me to search on what might help me.. 😀 So somewhere, somehow, I was browsing online and came across what you guys called 'Alexander technique' I'm like wow, this is my first time hearing something about this and beats me 'curiosity kills the cat' you know, lo and behold I downloaded the video and decided to watch it hoping that I will comment later on. And as it is, I'm here now let's cut to the chase shall we. Q1.) I'm a beginner in violin and to be honest I have no idea where to start. My posture is bad enough when holding a violin I'm totally lost right now😭 and in need of help Because whenever I place a violin on my neck, I always feel that "hey, it's going to fall or something like that." And at the end, I end up holding it in between my chin and shoulders. In this situation what do I do? Q2. On my left hand the short pinky, I have a case of camptodactyly on my left hand pinky is there a better way that Alexander technique can help me with that. Q3. When I place a violin in between my chin and neck I get a neck pain and shoulder pain immediately even when the violin hasn't lasted for a minute that I had to put it down it down for a minute. And sometimes when I want to balance my hands on the bow they stiffen and will not even move 🤷🏾♀ and my grip on the violin bow feels like it tighten instead of loosening. And when I move my bow up and down I can't feel the sense of my arm and wrist moving instead my whole hand just want to bow on the violin. Situations like this what do I do? 🤔 And when I try on it I end up keeping the violin back in my case not wanting to touch on it For sometimes

I notice that I'm relaxing my shoulders already. But as I witness that, I see that there is a slight forcing down. SO I released it.
