I've had my Hangar for over 2 years and without a doubt has improved my club path, hand position and strike compression. It has lowered my dynamic loft which has resulted in a more penetrating ball flight, better carry and longer drives. Using the Hangar has freed the release through the ball which benefits weight transfer and a balanced finish. When attaching it to a club, I tend to position the aligning notch and plastic clubface at a 12:30 or 1 o'clock to the actual clubface. This allows the Hangar to be centered between my forearms on the backswing and requires a purposeful bowing of the wrist on the set and downswing. The sound of the ball coming off the clubface is intoxicating! Cheers..
It actually works REALLY WELL when you close the face to about 10 o'clock the put the hanger on at 12 o'clock. it will rest on your right arm at set up then at whatever point your are comfortable with it will end up on your left wrist, closing the face with proper shaft lean. When I set it up square with the clubface, for me, it was pretty useless and was completely uncomfortable.
i love the Hanger, it has improved my game dramatically. from hand placement to swing path. i have super wide shoulders do things like towels under arms, or the structure ball don't work for me. The hanger has been phenomenal
Thanks, enjoyed the review. I bought one of these years ago on impulse and never used it. During spring cleaning I found it and it has dramatically changed my ball striking. First, this isn’t really for hitting live balls, so I agree with you. It is great however to groove muscle memory. I had started to fan open and cup my wrists on the backswing and at the top. I used this aid for about 20 mins just feeling the bar touching my left wrist. I started hitting higher, longer, and more penetrating balls. Probably a lot of $ for what it is but has been well worth the flaw it corrected for me.
We (4 golf players) followed the hanger instructions, small swings, littles chips to a full swing, and it worked for us. It maybe worked for us cause we aren't pro golfer's. You already have a great swing, so this must feel horrible in your hands. Thanks for vid anyway cause setup was good.
I totally agree, I had a hard time with regular swings as well. It makes the club feel out of balance with full swings. I pushed everything out to the right.
You are not giving the Hangar credit it deserves- terrible reviewer!! You can certainly hit balls on a full swing and if you get good at it you’ll ingrain a proper release with more shaft lean and higher compression - it will not allow you to flip the club instead it forces you to stay down and forward to cover the ball which will result in stronger downward pressure and longer clubface facing target line for more online shots that bore through the air.
I have no problem hitting with it. You can actually move it around depending on your swing. You didn't need to pay attention to the little plastic club head on the hanger. It helps in every area especially wrist angles and if you have cupping issues with your wrists. However it is a little too expensive
So you are hitting the ball right with this training aid on your club. Would that mean you lack lower body rotation in your golf swing? All in all the swing aid is actually giving you the feedback you need to help correct your mechanics.

That’s not true you should be able to swing and hit shots with the hanger. That’s what it was designed for. It doesn’t feel normal to you and you can’t hit full shots because you’re not used to hitting shots correctly which is why you need to use the hanger.

Maybe you're cupping your wrist. Adjust it around without posting attention to the plastic club head.

But my ball was going straight with training aid off the club. I found it difficult to swing through the ball with the hanger on my club.

You can effectively do the same thing with a coat hanger. I agree with your review that it is quite expensive.
