  • It's no evolution...It's a revolution.
    Ford withdrew from the championship in 1990. Instead, Audi joined the series as a newcomer, and the title went to Ingolstadt in the brand’s first year. Hans-Joachim “Strietzel” Stuck, the public’s darling, triumphed in the four-wheel-drive Audi V8 quattro. Audi prevailed against their strong rivals not only thanks to the four-wheel-drive advantage: The Audi’s V8 engine also had more power than the four-cylinder units.

    Just love the fact that they had a 100 cars doing wild quali push laps on the Nordschleife.

    Das waren noch tolle Zeiten. Man war noch hautnah dabei nicht im entferntesten mit heute zu vergleichen.

      I was only 1, but I still love cars of that era especially the early 90s Alfa Romeo 155.
