D'Arcy is such a sweetheart and does such great work. I've worked with him when I use to run the rescue a friend and I had. I knit and crochet specific items for donation. Plus knit and crochet items that people ask me to make for them. Along with items for our home, for our daughter and furbabies, for me and my husband and our furbabies. Keeps me busy and without a lot of finished items to hoard, lol. I keep a small amount of finished items on hand for gifts. You sure had a ton of gorgeous items for donation. I bet they loved getting it all. 🤗❤
I have a charity box and everything I have made right throughout the year, (hats, lap blankets, etc) goes into the box. This gets distributed just before xmas to my chosen charity.
I donate both yarn and completed projects, hats and blankets. Several times a year I donate yarn to my local senior center for those who on fixed incomes.
I only make things that I can gift to someone. If i had to make them to sell, it would take the joy out of the process for me. I tried that route and I hated it. So I make things for people I know who will appreciate the item, my husband has given several things I made him away, to people who had no need or even the climate to use the items. I don't make him things anymore. I don't really have someplace where I could donate, and I live in a large city, they just don't want things that are handmade. The thought on my end of that is they have no idea how to price the items and so either over price or drastically under price which ends up not making them a profit on a donated item smh
Hello! I hoard my crocheted items. I am not interested in selling them. I need to find a good place where I can donate my crocheted items. That is a good charity where you donate. Happy New Year and all the best in 2025.❤❤
❤ HAPPY NEW YEARS 🎉 many blessings for you and all your family 🎊
Hi Darla, this was so inspirational. I usually sell mines. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
