    Did you ever think of not doing white but just pouring clear? That might be interesting? Anyway love your vids all that you make is marvelous!

      I was thinking that. The clear will push the other resin like the white does. Hmmmm more experiments ☺️

    @CnBArtStudio ปีที่แล้ว +36

    I like the colors. Question - what if you did the mixed color pour first and then do the white dots, then pour a small amount of another dirty pour into the middle to push the dots out - instead of the white dump in do a color dump in? Just a thought.

    I wonder what the experiment would have looked like in the middle without stones or anything added.

      That's what I thought too. No crystals or glitter. Maybe for one.

      I think Julie adds glitter or stones in EVERY flower. My opinion is that it is a bit too much.

    Love when you, and other TH-camrs experiment and try different techniques or add their own spin to something. It’s always fun to see how even slight changes make big differences

  • @limalima555
    @limalima555 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I like it. The difference in shapes may be due to not pushing the dots out with white. Maybe try having a 4th cup with one of your 3 colors (probably one of the lighter ones) with the same amount of resin and ink (not a big cup like the white) to use to push out dots just half way not all the way. Just to get a little movement
    I have no clue. I live vicariously through you, ha ha! I love your experiments! Look forward to them

    Very cool!! Maybe putting the stones in the center pushed the white out and made those inner petals look squished? I am curious what it would have looked like with nothing in the center 🤔

    I dont work with epoxy resin but have been watching you for ages why don't you do a dirty pour into your mold with 2 colours then do your white dots then pour another colour in that would be your usual white so you get that pushing out and coming back in and your colours wouldnt be pastel either

    I think the petals look more realistic as a flower than the previous ones. A bit like a peony in the center and the edges look like a mum. I was wondering if a pigment or even glitter can be added to the white if you did the dump in the center at the end. Would love to hear your thoughts.

    Now that my crafting room is nearly up and running after our move I'm going to have to try this and the larimar pour as well. I was thinking for this one you don't want the white center and usually place stones how about trying a contrasting color to those you use in your dirty pour. Or one to make them pop. If you use blues use a metallic gold something like that so you not only have you white petals but you will have gold veining throughout as well.

    Oh this one came out very pretty. Looks like a flower made of lava! I wonder if you'd get a similar petal look to the other fairy flowers but without white in the middle if you replaced the big white resin dump with resin the same color as the colorful base you're using 🤔 I do really like this one though, I think the "squished" petals are quite cute actually!

    I’ve been hoping you’d try it without the white pour in the middle for ages. It always looks so pretty on the back without it I wondered how it would turn out. So thank you for experimenting 😊 I think this is my favourite so far. I love the ruffled petals in the middle and the way the petals on out outside look so different. Just gorgeous 💕

    So here’s my theory, the drops are traveling inward so the white pour travels against them creating the fine white lines. Without the end white pour, nothing is going opposite direction, so no white lines. Maybe try putting the stones in then the white end pour after?

    FABULOUS!!! I have been wanting you to do that forever.... now you dont have to worry about your middle. I think maybe your "squooshed up petals" are because of the rocks you put in. I loved your comment about the “stupid name” for the yellow. It gave me a real chuckle (startled my cat).
    I’m an old pharmacist (32-years so far). I claim to be the queen of hard to pronounce names and acronyms. I sometimes have to fight for that title with my baby sister. Her first job, as a chemical engineer, was in paints and pigments. She would tell people “I make white” when asked what she did. Now, there are 3 of us. My older sister, who is an elementary school teacher (she has taught everything from 1st to 4th grade … maybe never 3rd grade), she would be right there with you saying “stupid name”. Much like when she looked at the names of some of my classes (specifically, pharmacognosy), she stated “I can’t do the job if I can’t even pronounce the name of the course, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear her say “I refuse to use a color, if I can’t pronounce the name”.
    In all honesty, people always seem impressed by my job, or my little sister’s job, based on a perception based on our titles. But, my older sister has, by far, the hardest job! She gets the least amount of pay to work with people who are still evolving and, often, with whom there is no reasoning or arguing. Children can be so stubborn, obstinate, and, at times, literal! I was that kind of child from a very young age.

    Hey Julie! Loving these colors, the edges remind me of flames! Lol Would lightly mixing the dirty pour a little more instead of just a quick swirl, give more of a pretty ombre' or gradient effect but not muddy? Would've been great to have nothing in the center so we could've seen what happened not only with the "white" center but how the blooming effects came together and looked in the center too. I love all of your experiments...keep them coming!! Big ((Hugs)) from Texas!🤗💙

    Julie, why do you add stuff in the centers EVERY time? I really don't think it's necessary and it makes every one too similar. But that's just my opinion and we all know opinions are like bums - we all have one and they all stink.

  • @ChibiChula
    @ChibiChula ปีที่แล้ว

    Now I'm curious about a lot of things. Like, for example, what would happen if you pour part of your color mix in the middle after the dots, like you would with the white? Or, what would it look like if you started the dots from the center outwards? Or, what would if you did the dots once, waited a few minutes (like 5 to 10 minutes) and then started over again with the dots? Or, what if you did do the normal dumping of white but swirled some color in with the white or did it like a dirty pour? 🤔 ...So many questions! 😵
    I did like the design of the flower, though I actually think you maybe need to do thicker dots around the outside and smaller ones the closer you get to the middle for this version. Maybe do an extra bit of dots around the edge after 5 minutes to keep it less transparent around the edges. It's still pretty as is, though maybe you should do one without adding anything to the center to see what that looks like. You can always add a sticker later if you don't like the middle. 😅👍
    BTW, if you're doing a dirty pour with similar colors like this one it's best not to stir it at all. If you feel like it needs a bit more blending, at most do two swipes with the stick in a cross shape, no more. 🙅 Especially when using yellow which already tends to disappear. 👀💦

  • @Stephanie_Hancock
    @Stephanie_Hancock ปีที่แล้ว

    Lol, "stupid word". I wonder what would happen if you saved some of your dirty pour and poured that into the middle in lieu of the white? So you still get the pushing out and pulling back in of the dots. I like the longer, skinnier petals. Love these colors, tho. Take care, sweetie. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

    Julie! Very beautiful. Sometime you might want to try putting one of those stickers in the middle. I think it would be pretty plus you can see more of what the colors are behind the middle.

    I looove this! My first thought was poppy because of the black center. But the petals look more like a Dahlia.

    Dong stop experimenting 😊 I’m not a resin artist, I watch purely for entertainment value ❤

    I like the middle better and I like the wavy wispy petals on the out side and I like the “smushed “ ones in the middle ring too, so yah I really like it👍🏻❤️

    Very pretty love the colours. Maybe a tad less stones. I like the different petal formations in all your experiments ❤❤

    This turned out really gorgeous❣️ I wonder what would happen if you poured clear resin instead of white in the end. Maybe it would be the same result without the white blob in the middle. I think that when you pour the resin in the middle at the end, it will push the colors to the edge and back and you will have this straight lines to the middle. I hope you can try that and see what happens ❤😊

    It's beautiful - on both sides - did the black quartz distort the centre, I really love the little ones around it - I've just done my first ever resin pour but not the faerie flower that I aspire too ❤

    I love it! I think it looks like a chysanthemum…it would be extra cool if the the black had a bit of irridescense!

    I really like this one! If you do pour white again, do it ONCE and forget the last one.

    I don't care for the black stones, have you thought about using half the amount of white? But it is pretty.

    It looks like a bunch of fat cells from the body like you see during surgery. Super cool!
