I feel so much sympathy for horse and guard. It annoys me to see all the visitors touching the horses and standing so close. It is obviously distressing to them, how would the visitors like everyone approaching them and poking them in the face. Something should be put in place for visitors to see but not access the horse and guards.
I am from America, but I think the tourist should stay back from the guardsman and the HORSES. People act like they don't have any home training. In other words STUPID! Leave the HORSES alone.
I think I am very patient. But if I would be a London visitor, and I would have a son, who would be so disrespect against the Guards - I think, my son would get a back pipe of me in front of the Guards - and my adult son, especially!
I would run off too if I had an insane rude swarm of people grabbing at me and babbling, all at the same time, in my face. God bless the poor horse and the Guard for having to endure these situations.
That horse did not ‘run away”. He walked aways. I have been on actual “runaway horse” twice when I was in my 20’s. Both times on a 1 mile track. Trust me, this was nothing…. And they got control fast by “squaw reigning” the horse. That means simply pulling out and back on one side of the bridle which effectives screws the horses head and neck back towards you. With the true runaway, it takes allot more than trying that!
I don't blame the horse either. In fact, I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. Horse doesn't care what time it is, he just knows it's time for him to go. he's had enough.
I wouldn't dream of going up to a working horse and soldier and start touching the horse. I would also ask if I could take a picture. The way some tourists behave is disgraceful. Just my opinion ❤🇬🇧

It puzzles me why all those hands try to touch te horses face all at once. Many jerk away if it moves, obviously fearful, but then they try to touch it or even just tap it again. If they only knew how dangerous it is to stand in front of a horse, fussing around it's head etc. One misjudged moment and they could end up knocked over by a sudden move. They are lucky the horses are so very well trained. As happens even here, they are not totaly controlled, as a horse does have a mind of it's own.

At the end I think he said something is "He only has a few minutes left" to the female soldier and "If you have any other issues head straight to the back" to the one on horse back. People see a horse now a day as a novelty and not 1,000 pounds of muscle that will run right through you if it bolts.
Don't crowd the horses they might suffer from claustrophobia, don't blame them when they're all in their faces. Just remember they aren't pets they are on duty and so are their guards ?

I am a WW2 baby brought up with Daily horse driven Delivery vehicles. Coalman, Milkman etc and Shire horses were used for heavy Brewery deliveries. These working horses got priority, we always gave way to them. People are stupid crowding these beautiful animals and don’t realise if one kicks off it could kill them with one kick. And it would NOT be the horses fault. The notices👀on the walls should be heeded.

It was though probably a horse new to the work there which is why there was a soldier assigned and ready to assist as that is unusual ( I am glued to all these videos ) and the first time i have seen that. Takes a long time and the Guard and soldier know exactly what to do and would have taken the horse away if need be
There are always extra staff ( usually in camo kit) whenever horses are on duty. A farrier and a "Corporal of Horse" are also available and do regular visits to the guards on duty.

Ha!Ha! that got some of those stupid tourists out of the way. It must be very difficult to control the horse while holding a sword and wearing a uniform which makes it difficult for the riders. Maybe a chain could be put across to protect the horse and guard from stupid tourists.

Too many people pressing forward. They don't even have enough sense to get out of the way when a horse is getting upset.
Gawpers we call them..No sense and no respect. It was though probably a horse new to the work there which is why there was a soldier assigned and ready to assist as that is unusual ( I am glued to all these videos ) and the first time i have seen that. Takes a long time and the Guard and soldier know exactly what to do and would have taken the horse away if need be
These people are the scum of the earth just leave the guard and horse alone. They are not there to be mauled around all day by stupid tourist's
There are always extra staff ( usually in camo kit) whenever horses are on duty. A farrier and a "Corporal of Horse" are also available and do regular visits to the guards on duty.
Horse saying I have had enough. there should be a physical barrier so tourists say back!
