Probably sand it down so there's no paint chips and then throw some vinyl onto it so it looks a little nicer. Probably cut the webbing out also. I doubt I'll replace it. JDM hoods aren't cheap.
Once the install is over, did it throw your alignment off? I have very few people in my area who do alignments and I’m hesitant to install mine until I find someone who can align it if the install throws it way off

I adjusted the rods so the lined perfectly with the LCAs. Since I have energy suspension bushings in my LCA it didn't move forward or back as it keeps it in place. Stock bushings or worn out bushings will let you LCAs move so you need to be careful. Ask me how I know. 👍

That traction bar looks to be a good quality. Like you said. Those welds are nice and thick. Not a bad price either. That DX hatch is very clean. Love the matching color valve cover. Love that blue. The whole car looks like it came right off the show room floor. Has the track reopened yet?
Honestly this bar looks like a rep of Innovative's bar. I own 2 Innovative bars and love them. I've had no issues with either of those also. Obviously for price, this one is cheaper. If the shipping really drives the price up then that doesn't separate them much and Innovative is known for their quality, maxpeedingrods is new and trying to make a place for themselves. I dont see any reason the MXR bar and radius rods would fail, but I'd like to see how the heim joints hold up. One of my Innovative bars has been tracked for 3 years and I haven't had any issues at all.
@GarageBuiltHondas I know this is a real old comment, however... I've already installed a traction bar on my ef, and now I'm seeing people saying that it affects handling, making it not handle nearly as good as it did before. Have you noticed a negative difference?
Hmm, interesting.. ive been seeing a lot of newer maxspeedingrods's products, but just recently I've watched one of theyre trac bar installs on young statics channel, that one in particular mounted to the factory toe hook locations. Personally I like this design better
I don't think the one static installed was a maxpeedingrods it was just a no name ($79 el cheapo) this one is definitely higher quality better made part. Kinda wish I hadn't just spent over $350 for the innovative pro series.
Honestly I wouldn't doubt if you could use the innovative bracket they make for either a b or d engine. The bar has the provision for it. Here's a link to Innovative's D mount bracket. innovativemounts.com/collections/d-series/products/88-91-civic-crx-conversion-front-engine-mount-d-series-cable
You can make some custom brackets and use an innovative or Hasport mount. If you're swapped you're using aftermarket mounts already right? You don't need the front mount with nice aftermarket mounts. The front mount is not needed in that case

It does. I don't recommend leaving the jack on the bar supporting the weight of the car but that's all traction bars. Easily lift the car by them, but then use jack stands as normal.

They don't make one. Either upgrade to aftermarket mounts or skip the bar. A traction bar is there for performance, to reduce wheel hop. There's really no need or a benefit for a traction bar if you're using stock engine mounts.

@@GarageBuiltHondas hi man, no im not to be honest, Ive never used it, I know the measurement of the bore of the heim its 12mm and the threaded part is 20mm, not sure on the thread pitch, the closest I can find is 1/2 by 3/4 which is 12.6mm by 19.4mm approximately, I think theyre right hand threaded but not fully sure
My bad I measured it wrong, I think its a 1/2 bore by 5/8 which is 15.88mm i measured the width of threaded to bar as near 16, think its UNF, but i.ll find out soon, are they Right handed thread?
I forgot theres spacers so these joints could be 5/8 by 5/8 or M16 by M16, maxpeeding if your reading these give us the dimensions, you have to take the whole rod off to measure them!

No, it doesn't have the D mount provision but. You may want to look at your rear subframe. If you're having caster issues something might be cracked or bent.

Traction bars are not recommended for road racing. You are better off getting pci racing upper control arms that has caster adjustments to fix your issue.
Nice i have a 1989 base crx with a d15b2 16 valves with d16y8 head gasket 272 Delta camshaft regrind header with free flow exhaust system homemade and with a old school knowledge trick on the duel point fuel injectors and gd air filter lighter flywheel and gd clutch and others things old school tricks mambo king and i can say she really do fly i bit a couple si with more power like i say she is real fast gd on gas i even have short skunk radiator on and she sounds tuff and looks real tuff people seems to love her old school style look like a sitting bull frog even the state police look at her in the highway and put finger up people talk about engine but we all have to remember the d15b2 16 valves have light internal parts and with bore and polish head and a cam and tb work become a monster believe me i know i build my with junkyard parts and old school style knowledge gd video amigo

Besides lighter chassis and probably a stronger motor, I suspect the gearing is a better match for the CRX
I finally got my K24A2 with 6 speed LSD to go in my 1989 CRX. I have a ways to go but might need a traction bar and some suspension soon.

It's recommended to get an alignment after. Mine didn't seem off at all and I still haven't aligned it.

There are usually plenty here since we live in the desert. They survive pretty easily.
