Thank you so much! I just created my first Flow by watching your video. We have a lot of Microsoft suite tools at work (that no one knows how to use). I always come to TH-cam to learn about short cuts and this video was so helpful! Thank you!
Hello Peter, your videos are remarkable and I am extremely grateful for you, and to you. I realize some of the actions above were "preview" when you created the video and redundant to say, MS makes changes often. What I don't understand is when you created the "Get response details" action, an "apply to each" was automatically created. No matter how many times I've tried an "Apply to each" does not get created for me when I add a "Create Item" action as you instructed above? Would you know why, perhaps another way around and is it still necessary for an "App;y to each action" ( If MS did make a change)? Thank you again for all you do!

Hi Sherlock :-) I am glad you like my videos. Maybe the apply to each is not needed anymore because the trigger gets run on each form submission, so that there is always one new form for each run of the flow. Did you try if it creates the item in SP?
Hello Peter, please accept my tardy reply. As you know it's been kind of unusual lately to say the least. Yes, I think it worked out as it should. It's been good and bad news as they change things as you know. I love your videos because you are concise and what more "genuine"! Rare stock indeed. Wishing you the best.

Hi! Thanks for your tutorial! I would like to know if the images in the Forms survey can be attached into the item we are creating through the flow process... Thanks again!

Yes, it can no doubt be done. SharePoint does handle attachments also. It is a somewhat complicated process though - the subject of another video.
Kalmstrom, great video, explainatory and clear. Do you know if is there any way for Microsoft before end of 2020 to get the form choices from an external source such as a list in Sharepoint (wich is microsoft product as well) ? thank you
Can you do one also on the Word Connector, and Compose function in flow? Ex: The form results update a sharepoint list and then a word document is composed which emails the survey to responders email address and emails another subform as well?
Thank you for this! For some reason I am only seeing the Title field when I select my Sharepoint List. I made sure my View shows all columns. I also selected "Use all Columns (Do not limit)
The problem I've been running into is also shown in your Flow here in the video - it double-creates an item in the Sharepoint list when there was only one Form questionnaire filled out. Basically you edited your Flow configuration, re-ran it (without filling out a new survey) and it created a second item in the first Sharepoint list. How would one get around that?
You need to put in a condition that checks if the MS Forms item already exists in the SharePoint list. in the Flow that is triggered by the new form submission.
Hello Peter, Great tutorial. Looking at this tutorial i was able to create a Online Assessment for New joiners. However, i am not able to get the results (Percentage Scored) to SharePoint list . I have created 30 questions and when the person submits the response he might have scored around 80%. I would be able to view this score online in Form. However, i am not able to get the information to SharePoint. Please suggest and help.
Hi Peter, awesome content you have here on your channel! Thank you for sharing it with us. Do you plan to have something on Hybrid Search as well? Can you recommend some case study on the subject?
Thank you, I am glad you enjoy it. Hybrid search is a really important subject and I would love to do it - but it is a rather time-consuming subject for a demo. Hopefully I will have time for it soon.
Hello Peter, how can I gather external information as metadata in a SP365 library from a Fill in pdf form on a website of ...? Word doc works to extract metadata but the programmable send-button is a gives a security problem and printing is also a pain.

That sounds like an interesting project - but I do not have a video describing your scenario, yet ...
One question: I want to automatically recognize person's position title in the organization plus the line manager and line managers' email address? What should I do? Thanks.
Is there a way to add the total points from a MS form/quiz to a SharePoint list with Power Automate (Flow)? The only way I found to do it is exporting it to Excel and making it a SharePoint list. There has to be an easier way to do this! Thanks.
Hi, thank you for the tutorial. The only problem I encounter is when I try to copy the data from the sharepoint describtion, the HTML window pops up which makes it very hard to copy the desired data. Is there any way to fix this?

Did you try the quick-edit view or opening the list in Microsoft Access? Both methods should make it easier to copy information in general. Glad you liked the tutorial :-)
Hi! I'm getting an error with the Apply to Each section and "List of response notifications" doesn´t show up anymore. Do you know what could be the issues?
You would use the update item action instead of the add new item action. That would be the simple answer. If I knew more about the use case, most likely the answer would be more complex.
We have a product which has a solution to prevent double booking in a SharePoint calendar. Please refer to: www.kalmstrom.com/products/CalendarBrowser/CBSharePoint/
The execution of template action 'Aplicar_a_cada' failed: the result of the evaluation of 'foreach' expression '@triggerOutputs()?['body/resourceData/responseId']' is of type 'Integer'. The result must be a valid array :(
HI Mr. Peter, Its Interesting, Could you please tell me if it is possible to receive email notifications for one form that includes multiple section / branching submissions, i.e. 5 section submission to receive notification for 5 different people??? Please advise

No, the user filling in the MS Forms form does not need permission on the SharePoint list. The user that creates the Flow does need permission, of course :-)
Great video, clear and concise. Also thanks for using a realistic example rather a simple form which most other similar tutorials tend to use!!.
Glad you liked it!

Hi Peter, is there a Flow that will remove Forms response from Sharepoint lists and send and email response?
Yes, such a flow would be rather easy to build using standard Power Automate SharePoint Actions.

"Show advanced option" does not lead me to show all these options on the "Create item" step with SP!
You are right. MS has changed that a bit. I hope you will find the rest of the video useful.
Hi! I'm getting an error with the Apply to Each section and "List of response notifications" doesn´t show up anymore. Do you know what could be the issues?
Regretfully I do not know. Microsoft keeps changing the user interface but the functionality should still be the same.
Were you ever able to resolve this? I’m getting the same issue.
Does anyone know how to add data from a second form to the same sharepoint item?
You would use the update item action instead of the add new item action. That would be the simple answer.

where does the data go and how do you look at the responses from those who answered the form
How did the Contoso Customer Survey Form just appear?
Here is a quick intro on how to build a form:
www.kalmstrom.com/Tips/Office-365-Course/Forms.htm
The execution of template action 'Aplicar_a_cada' failed: the result of the evaluation of 'foreach' expression '@triggerOutputs()?['body/resourceData/responseId']' is of type 'Integer'. The result must be a valid array

Hi Peter, I tried doing this but Flow doesn't bring up the questions from the survey in the Dynamic content box. Any idea why?
I have seen and solved that problem by simply starting over a few times, but that does not explain why it happens of course.
Can you show how to create excel auto update from ms form data? Thanks
