    The people & freedoms of NH are what make it great.
    The Gov't of NH is out of control lately. Last year the electric increased by 108%, and property taxes have exploded. 2/3 of my mortgage is now property tax. I miss the days of $5k taxes from just 2 years ago, now it's almost $8k.. They tax us out of our homes while the "non profits" buy up the vacant houses...

    Home prices and property taxes are ridiculous there, you need a permit for everything you do, even putting up a shed! Every time you make an improvement to your property you get a visit from the tax man and up go your taxes. I think they think they are in Beverly Hills! You don't even get streetlights! They need to change their motto...Live FREE or die....Nothing free about that place!

      No, I do NOT need a permit ... 'For everything I do' such as putting up a shed. No every improvement to my home or property does NOT invoke a visit from the 'tax man' And No, I am not speaking from ignorance, but from 20+ years experience living in New Hampshire.

      You're so right! We're over charged, taxed, high costs for mostly everything. I've lived here all my 55 years and watched NH change.

    • @ebarker8908
      @ebarker8908 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Michael Douglass You're supposed to have a permit for that. Yes your supposed to let the town know, they do come to your house and any new structure with no permit, will get yourself in trouble. I think you should research before you share your problem. You seem so upset, relax it's the way it is

    I'm from New England. Born and raised in MA. Unfortunately, I moved from MA to Florida in 2013. I used to camp, hike, vacation, in NH as a kid, teenager, and adult. I cannot wait to live in NH. I LOVE NH!

    before I watch, understand the only people who pay taxes in NH are property owners, thus property taxes are high.

    Lived in NH 1971-2009 upon retirement. I was in Education in the bottom 5 states in aid to education. Never made much money. The schools and state Universities are financed with property tax. NH is number 3 behind NJ and Ct. property tax. Heating your house is a killer and electric rates are high. The winters are long and when Spring and Summer come around the mosquitoes and black flies and no seeums will make your life miserable. That said, I love NH and my kids and grandkids live there. I moved to Florida only because of affordability.

    Oil undercoating works. My dad still has has 1984 chevy pickup. Oiled it every year. All my vehicles are oil undercoated and i still drive my 2005 toyota tundra.

      Yes oil undercoating is great, my issue is I always forget to do it! Lol

    • @judee00
      @judee00 ปีที่แล้ว

      @shanemoynihanre all good. I've only undercoated my tundra 3 times. After the first time it's all touch up work. In the wheel wells and some of the back sections get pressure washed from running in the rain by the tires. Most of the undercarriage and frame stay oiled

      My Dad did the same, we lived at the end of a dirt road, which was always dusty my Dad would sprinkle some. Of course nowadays you can't do it.

    Little diversity equals little crime. 3rd lowest diversity in the US. 3rd lowest crime rate. True about night life. Not much, but not the end of the world. It is the freest state in the union. The least amount of laws that's why everyone else comes here to ride, snowmobile, boating, hunting, fishing etc. Actually a pretty good video. Pretty accurate assessment I think.

    The state of NH doesn't use just pure salt on the roads, they use a winter sand and salt mixture, salt brine, calcium chlorlide, liquid magnesium chlorlide, liquid chlorlide blends

      The state uses straight road salt on the interstates and highways. Cities and towns use a sand salt mix. Great for vehicle longevity! (NOT)

      @@judee00 the state of NH uses a sand and salt mixture. My husband works for NHDOT plowing and I think he knows what he spreading on the roads.

    • @judee00
      @judee00 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ebarker8908 depends on the weather. Most the time up north it's straight salt. I'll ask my buddy in the DOT again but I'm pretty sure he stated all salt very little to no sand . Berlin NH now uses straight salt thanks to hiring a masshole as our city manager. Except in places that have wells for home water. They use straight sand. Which may be the case for your husband. They may be treating roads with alot of houses with wells
