i use PEELE i think that really helps , Point, Evidence (maybe a study or a sociologist e.g. Murdoch found through his study that...), Explain (explain it so be like = this meant that families .... ), Link (back to question e.g. as a result this leads to...) Evaluate (however ... could criticise this because..)
It depends on the point you're making- I'd say try to use one sociologist and maybe a couple of sentences explaining their point with evidence, then refute it
I'd say try and follow a 'PEEL' type structure! Point, evidence (include a sociological viewpoint), evaluate/analyse/explain depending on what the question asks and then link back. The link can also be used to connect the two paragraphs together- i.e. 'x suggests that y has a negative effect on pupil success because... but this is not the only factor/explanation' Then start the second paragraph with a link as well :)
Im about to take my Education Sociology exam tommorow and you might have saved my life with this video.
Same we got this!!!
@@shreks0ph0n3 I might pass out in the exam hall, I'm that scared of 30 markers
what structure can you use for 10 mark item Q - can you use PEACE or PEEEL

hi did you do AQA
Hey I have to give a composite of sociology this October/November can you please provide me some links you used to study or notes?
In a 30 mark question how much evaluation would you need per paragraph cause my sixth form keeps changing it
It depends on the point you're making- I'd say try to use one sociologist and maybe a couple of sentences explaining their point with evidence, then refute it
@@bluebirdanne5365 Does it have to be refuting? Or can you give a supporting evaluation as evaluation is strength/limitations?
You can add supporting arguments too! I like to make the point, add a weakness, then (if I agree with the point) add a counter to the weakness:)
Thank you for the video is was really useful. I just wanted to ask if you still have your sociology notes please
I have some of them still!
@@bluebirdanne5365 is there you will be able to send me some please if that is okay with you
Which topics did you need?
@@bluebirdanne5365 education, methods in context, crime and deviance please
I'll see if I can dig them out for you :)
is there a specific way to chain reasoning? Make it really compact and organised?
