Love the flow of the design inside and out, my minor quirks would be those chunky looking backseat headrest looks like its blocking about 90% of the backglass and also the missing center arm rest...
I just feel I'm watching an updated MG TF. Wish there will be a convertible variant for this GT then..
The sportback/fastback rear really is eye catching. Woulda been more awesome if it were a lift gate rather than conventional trunk. Nonetheless, another stunner from MG.
Maybe a comparo between the GT and 6 (fastback)? 👍
Wow great concept 🥰 i like what they do here also the color it's not typical to see a yellow sedan on the road mostly we see is white or black common colors.. so this will stand out i hope all manufacturer experiment on colors for there cars.. NICE MG
One heck of a short review! This car is INTERESTING!
I like all the features except for the turbo-lag.
Now I miss my old ford fiesta 2013 which is a sub compact car but has the same 1.5L turbo and no turbo-lag.
Reminds me so much of the elantra on the front. Anyone else feel the same?

Ah, I so want this to come to India! Sadly, our sedan market is pretty dead, so it’s a pipe dream for now. The only D1 sedan we get is the Škoda Octavia, and the only D2 sedans we get are the Škoda Superb and Toyota Camry - yep, no Corollas, Accords, Elantras, or Passats. And don’t get me started on the ‘subcompact’ sedans we get - basically one million different versions of the Suzuki Dzire!
How about the civic and mazda 3? Those cars are great and reliable

I think mg should reconsider their stance straight off the showroom. Seems to me their sidewall is always a few cms shy of the fender edge. Making it look quasi dorky. Set it flush or protrude a bit and it's macho

It looks like a chinese dude who migrated to europe and blends around perfectly. No offense intended but this looks stunning. Can this go up against altis, civic? I just wish the logo in front is smaller.

Can you do a comparo of this MG GT with the incoming GAC EMPOW (January daw).
Akala ko nung una it competes in the likes of Vios GRS, City RS and Almera N-Sport. Pero nung makita ko ang output ng MG GT, masyado mismatch para price and specs compare to those japs brand na sport sub-compact sedan🔥👌

Fuel efficiency is around 12-15km/l in city 15-18 km/l highway, top speed limited around 220 km/h
I am just happy that I am the car owner of this GT 2022 very lovely and sweet movement very good.
I was able to test drive this in Dubai. i tried hitting the sports mode in a 120-140 speed limit.
this is too small for me so i decided to get the HS trophy
15:00 there's always an Innova whenever there's a sports car or a car that is sporty looking ..lol!
I'd say the looks is more like a mix of PEUGEOT at the tail and merc as a whole body shape, with a little bit of hyundai/mazda at front.
Looks like an Elantra N on the front 3/4 with that grill and hood.
The perfect car that fits my personality aggressive sophisticated and elegant at the same time i'm impressed with this car overall for what it offers from the price and technology i would consider seeing one leader on a display in a shopping mall or on the the road driving around

Exciting to see a comparo of this MG GT Sport with the GAC Empow (also slated to be launched next year). I am an MG 5 Style owner but a GAC brand admirer. What I can say is that 'naunahan ni MG ng power punch si GAC' bec of the GT's earlier launch considering that the Empow was already previewed in the MIAS as early as April...
They also have same engine which is 1.5L turbo. Looking forward for the comparo

MG GT should be more attractive if they installed the twin exhaust directly to the car garnish which is a fake one as compared with GAC Empow's exhaust system.

Thinking of buying a new car in 2023. do you think it’s a safe bet to choose the Mazda 3 sportback compared to this MG GT and the potential new facelift Ford territory?
Those are in a different price segment, but yes, I'd go with the Mazda in a heartbeat. They've been around for a while and will be much reliable.
You can't really go wrong with Mazda, just know it's a luxury brand at this point.

Ordered one in Indonesia. But the dealer is soooo slow to get it ready. I am wondering if they really want to well. It is my first Chinese car and this experience is disappointing.

@@Paulo-ov4yo under SAIC motors which is chinese owners, but parts is globally acquired.
This car is fairly nice, well apportioned, and has a competitive price, too.
Of course, many Brit car fans see this as another example of what SAIC did to one of its most iconic car brands - a degradation from a carmaker of fine sports and performance cars to another Chinese-owned Toyota wannabe.
The Vios GRS we didn't get

Ang question matibay ba? And how long yung parts? MG ZS alpha user here. 1 month na tengga unit ko sa casa . Pasko wala magamit. 12 month old may sira agad. Dapat mag focus si MG sa quality ng car. Aanhin mo pogi pero sirain.

looks really cool. medyo significant lang talaga ang delay sa acceleration
its a turbo engine so you really have to be at the right rpm to get that immediate punch, maybe around 20kph instead of 10kph like they did.
The front fascia has a bit of touch of a Maserati from an angle added with those sleek headlight. Well, just saying. 🙄
