As a lifetime outsider, a "lone wolf", I still knew what the majority believed, but I didn't form my beliefs based on popularity. I needed to evaluate for myself, question, apply logic and experience. As I gathered info I constantly heard: "That's the way it's done, always has been that way." I am not impressed by that "non-answer" that so many accept as valid. I made my living by doing the unexpected, not doing it "like it should be done", after careful thought, a penetrating analysis.

Critical thinking should be emphasized in schools instead of indoctrination.
Well... the indoctrination was the long term strategist. You're not going to change the system with that low iq take. You basically are the short term strategist, you have no clue on how to get schools back on track.
There is a huge difference between being taught what to think rather than how to think. Know the kind of education you're getting!

In my school district in south Texas every teacher tried to teach critical thinking. Schools do teach it, it’s the students job to learn as well.
Probably one of your best videos Patrick. Thank you. I was trained as an engineer and I’d say they train you to solve problems (short term strategist), also, being too much in the trenches has made me continue to get great at short term strategy.. but that won’t get us far. We’ve been doing our best to be intentional to step away and come up with a more long term strategy for our restaurants.. Thanks so much for your videos 🙏
Problems are solutions still yet to be found. In mma, strategy is key when it comes to fighting. Just because youre bigger and faster does not mean anything without strategy.

I'm a strong blend of all 3, but lacking in the short-term. I really like being thrown in the action on the fly but need a flexible schedule. 1Hr blocks would add a lot of stress. Pat Awesome Video Great perspective and insight taught me a lot just in a very short time on 3 different perspectives didn’t think or didn’t know or didn’t realize.. I Know i’m a short time thinker & a long time thinker.! I can solve a problem fast but then I also think of the consequences long term never did I realize there was the medium perspective so I definitely learned something in the short 21 minutes I can definitely solve a problem fast and then sit back and think of the long term Consequences and hopefully goals that it will reach but never knew there was a medium perspective. My god Patrick, I love you. I in my personal life am trying to do something that people just told to my face that it is impossible to do for someone like me. Saying all sorts of things like you don't have the people, skills, money, funding mentor etc. etc. many people who had all those tried to come into this domain and left, what makes you think you are any better.
