I have to ask. Is that harness a proper fit for that dog? That just looks hard on her hips and she's not able to run freely. She is pulling with her hip flexors not her shoulders. Looks like from an amateur's view anyway. We are in the process of getting harnesses and doing the measuring and learning how to mush, that is why I needed to ask. I ride horses and know a bit of kinesiology.

@@twobrokewolves5884 Maybe a link between the hip part of the harness to the middle of the harness to keep the lines off of the hips? I dunno. I like our URBAN harnesses for now. Later I can see that the X harness will work better. I've got two yahoo high high high predator type dogs; choc lab and blue heeler? I had no clue what it is like to work with high predator dogs. I've never known a dog that is incapable of being 'pulled back from the hunt'. I have one memory now where my two dogs managed to grab a baby bunny. Another damn memory to keep in a box with bricks on top of the lid. We are working on training for the urban mushing. Got two lead setups and a kick bike. I ride and work with HORSES and these two beautiful dogs are challenging my PATIENCE! Grins.
      What is too short?

What scooter are you using? And how much weight can it hold up?

Even in Alaska, they do NOT use the Huskie--why? They get too hot, even in freezing temps. So if you take a Huskie, in warm weather, what do you think happens? They do their best, get WAY too hot, and some of em can die. Think about it. One other thing, in Alaska the top racers get out and push, helping their dogs; these guys just stand there and ride. Dogs don't know when to quit, hope you guys know your dogs well enough to know when to rest them. I hope you do, I really do.

Jmichael Isbell Yes I agree with your thought process 100% I know this video can be a little misleading but I assure you none of these dogs were ever push too hard. None of them went more than 15 to 20 minutes without a rest. None of them ever dehydrated. Total duration 5-6 miles. My girl is now 10 1/2 years old and healthy as a horse I’ve been blessed. Thanks for the comment.

Good comment and great rePly. I was wondering the same. Looks like fun and the dogs love it. I can’t believe only 1 dog. But feel better after your explanation.
