Awesome video as always mate, cracking little drone that! I love the start up sound of it too , makes me laugh everytime it starts up you make the sound haha! Timelapse are great mate, preferred the second one with the sun shadows etc! Great times on those batteries too! Have a great weekend! 👍
Don't get me wrong, but the dji mini 4k is a fantastic drone it has the best signal and the best at taking photos. It's also higher quality. However, it is basic. Whereas the Fimi, 1. Has a larger stocked sensor. 2. Has the option of a plus size battery. 3. It has super night mode. 4. It has waypoints. 5. It has tracking. 6. It has 12x zoom 7. 4k 60fps 8. Timelapse 9. Hyperlapse 10. You can limit your speed from as low as 1 meter per second (very useful) 11. It's faster at near 40mph. 12. It has precision landing. 13. It's cheaper if you can get a good deal. I find myself flying the Fimi more than the dji. But you'll be happy with either ☺️
Thank you that’s all I need to know I like the fimi more too just a more valuable drone for money 😄.i just wanted to ask from a expert who has flown both of these 😂 is it worth buying the DJI mini 3 over the fimi tho?
@@RobinDrones I looked at the site and the price stays the same no matter which package you choose. Just to clarify, are you still using an Android phone when you do these?
Oh really I've just checked and each package goes up around 10 usd. Oh I've just had an email with $50 off 50USDMINI3 Yep I use an android Samsung A55 👍
Thanks for this. I'm glad I only ordered the standard batteries as extras. Time lapse seems a bit of a gimmick feature though. Hard to get good results if the drone is swaying in the wind. Otherwise, not too bad I hope they implement cruise control.
Hello! Could you try/share carry weight? I know it does not officially have payload capacity but the DJI drones of this size can lift up to 200g or more. Trying to find someone with this drone to try it out. I just need it to maybe fly 10-15 min max with 200g strapped to it. Thanks!
@@RobinDrones sorry to be a pain, I've never ordered off ali express before, do you have a link to whom you purchased it off or name of the seller. Many thanks
Hi, good test, thanks for sharing. I'm a bit surprised that the Plus battery didn't last longer. I think that the Plus battery is Li-Ion where the charge doesn't decay in time like the normal Li-Pol standard battery. That lets one get the Fimi Mini 3 up in the air fast by not needing to wait charging batteries. The Fimi Plus is a lot like the original black DJI Mini 1 Li-Ion battery. A possible advantage using the Fimi Plus is that the extra weight may be useful in strong winds?
I'm more surprised by the standard battery 27 mins. The most I've got with any sub 250g drone was around 22-24 mins. They both were fully charged 1h before filming. Yeh, I wish more drone batteries were lion as, like you said, they stay charged. I actually did a hover test in my garden the other day, and I got 23 minutes with the standard and 28min with the plus battery.
Have Still Got My DJI Spark Drone Which Was Away Ahead Of It's Time. However With Other Chinese Company's Getting There Act Together And Adding More Features For The Money In The Sub 250 Gram Market, This Drone Has Just Moved Ahead A Little. Will Not Be Ruled By DJI All The Time But Will Try It Out Via Amazon Purchase But I Would Still Need Vi-Fly Strobe To See It In Gloomy Conditions.
Yes it is good to wait until it's on Amazon that way if there's anything wrong, you can send it back. The Fimi is the drone that I'm using the most at the mo due to it having a good sensor and lots of features 👍
I bought the FIMI mini 3 same color as yours and all the videos I found on how to connect the drone to the app is a white drone with a switch. The orange doesn’t have a switch where there should be one to go from rc to wifi. How do I put the drone into wifi mode?
You can only connect it via plugging your phone into the remote. Apparently, they removed the WiFi option on this version. However, the first batch of the mini 3 had the switch, but it was non functional 🤔
I have the DJI Mini 3 and use the plus battery, it lasts so long that i sometimes get bored lol, have had 44 mins from this battery 👍, but most of my flights are around 15-20 mins so the plus battery is nice to have when flying distance out over water.
Could use some advice i just received my first drone fimi mini 3 it's helped finding your video's it's one of the reasons i bought it but im nervous to damage it on my first flight any advice would be great. 😊 keep up the great content
You won't damage it unless you fly to close to trees ect. Pick a wide open space on your first flight and make sure you have a min of around 14 satellites before taking off, or the drone may drift out of control. It is super easy to fly
There is only one definition for these batteries: lithium-ion polymer, the lithium in batteries being in the ionic state; any other definition is an invention of the world of drones ! 🙂
The same, but Totally different in my eyes. Pros of Lithium Polymer(pouch cells): LiPo’s hold the highest voltage under load of all lithium batteries so they perform well in high amp draw applications LiPo batteries come in many different form factors so they can be built to fit lots of applications Maintains lower temperatures under high discharge Cons of Lithium Polymer(pouch cells): LiPo’s are more prone to thermal runaway when punctured or damaged LiPo batteries provide around half the life cycles of a Li-Ion Can be discharged down to 3v per cell Pros of Lithium ion(cylindrical cells): Li-ion batteries are higher energy density(Wh/kg) which allows for longer runtimes and lighter weight Lithium-ion batteries are safer than lithium polymer because of the metal enclosure Can be discharged down to 2.5v per cell Cons of Lithium ion(cylindrical cells): In high amp draw applications, they will have lower voltage under load compared to lithium polymer They are round cells in specific sizes which can create some limitations to fit in certain applications They tend to hold higher temperatures during and especially after performing a higher discharge rate

Great little drone for the money.
Yeh I like it. It's great if you can get it for a good price. But the price fluctuates on Ali Express.
I love the orange colour 😁

Hello from Utah 🇺🇸 Question.
Is it possible to tape or zip tie an external battery to the top of the drone to charge it while it's flying?
It probably wouldn't charge it faster enough. And that's alot of extra weight
Thanks for this. I'm glad I only ordered the standard batteries as extras.
Time lapse seems a bit of a gimmick feature though. Hard to get good results if the drone is swaying in the wind. Otherwise, not too bad

Yes, cruise control would be handy!

Hi looking to purchase the fimi for my son. Can i ask where did you putchase it in the uk?
I got it from Ali Express with 2 batteries and the case. It took 10 days to get here. However, the extra battery took 17 days to arrive.
@@RobinDrones thanks for a quick reply.

So i ordered it from the "Fimi official store"(on Ali express)
But it's coming up with "not available in your region"
🤔

im struggling anywhere to find out does this drone do a 360 photo sphere like the dji mini 2 /mini 4k can do. Does anyone know ?

Just to let you know did what you said it was amazing granted its the only camera drone I've flown thanks for the advice and encouragement 😊
So which better fimi mini 3 or dji mini 3 ?
I'd say for price and features the Fimi is better.
For image quality the dji mini 3 would be better as the cmos sensor is bigger.
1/2" vs 1/1.3"
On the screen, there is an X over the battery symbol. Any idea why that is?
It's actually not an x it's a pic of a drone, I guess, to show that it's the drone battery and not the controller.
So i could get one, the fly more combo for about 227 pounds. It would be my first drone. What do u guys think? Thkx
That's an excellent price for the flymore. Very hard to beat price to performance wise 👍
What i can do if my Phone does not connect to the controller i have tried everything possible and 3 different Phones??
Are you using the supplied usb cable? As no other cable will work.
The first time lapse, I would have been a bit higher to include the traffic on the road 😊
Yes, I wish i did go higher now. 🫤
Thanks for this, seems like two extra minutes isn't really worth it.
Yeh, that's what I think. The lion battery was half the price of a lipo one, so that's a plus

LiPo batteries provide around half the life cycles of a Li-Ion
Can be discharged down to 3v per cell
Pros of Lithium ion(cylindrical cells):
Li-ion batteries are higher energy density(Wh/kg) which allows for longer runtimes and lighter weight
Lithium-ion batteries are safer than lithium polymer because of the metal enclosure
Can be discharged down to 2.5v per cell
Cons of Lithium ion(cylindrical cells):
In high amp draw applications, they will have lower voltage under load compared to lithium polymer
