What's up Ricky? The difference with the Mic gain up and the camera pre-amp gain down was staggering. I never knew it would be so effective to do that. Thanks for showing that! I also noticed that with the high pass at 150 Hz, it seemed to cut into your voice a bit which confirmed my suspicions about the high pass. 75 Hz didn't seem to affect it. Pretty cool mic. My shotgun mic is just a Rode Video Mic Go 2 and I like it a lot but I've recently fallen in love with the DJI Mic 2's. It's not that it sounds so great (The Rode Wireless Pro sounds better), it's just that it sounds good enough for a vlog and it's consistent in that it's always clipped to my collar when I turn my head, etc. Also, the features and convenience of it with other DJI products are unmatched.
Sorry, I messed up the 150 and 75 hz is a low pass filter. Such a noob move. Thanks for your support. The preamps on cameras can be so noisy so I find it always best to turn down the internal preamps down to it's lowest setting without being all the way off and turning up the volume on the external device. Like the settings on my X-H2s is turned almost all the way down and the DJI mic 2 is plus 6 db . Sounds excellent that way. It hones in on my voice more that way.

I'd like to see how that stacks up against the Takstar SGC-600 or 698. Pretty much the same features but 1/3 - 1/4 of the price. I use the older version, the 598 and it's insanely good. I picked that after seeing a video of it kicking the crap out of some Røde mics at several times the cost. I have been very pleased with it. This one looks good, but what if you could get similar results for a fraction of the cost? You know I love me some deals!
I'm with you on the deals aspect. Yeah this mic isn't that cheap at all. Battery life is crazy on it though . Very full sounding and easy to get the initial sound you may want out of it. Thanks for the comments and support. I greatly appreciate it.
